Product Description

The Kobelco 7070 crawler crane is a robust and versatile machine with a maximum rated lifting capacity of 70 tons at a 4.0-meter working radius. This crane is engineered to deliver high productivity and reliable performance across a wide range of applications including foundation works, material handling, and heavy construction tasks.

The standard boom length ranges from 9.1 meters to 54.9 meters, constructed from high-tensile steel lattice sections that ensure both lightweight maneuverability and substantial lifting strength. When equipped with a jib, the 7070 achieves extended configurations combining the boom and jib lengths up to 66.1 meters (for example, 45.7 meters boom plus 18.3 meters jib), providing greater reach and operational flexibility.

The hoisting system is designed for efficient lifting operations with a variable rope speed ranging from a fast 120 m/min down to precise creep speeds of 3 m/min, ensuring operators can handle both high-speed lifts and delicate positioning tasks with confidence. A third auxiliary winch is available as an option for even greater operational versatility.

The crane is powered by a Mitsubishi 6D16-TLE2A diesel engine producing 147 kW (200 PS) at 2,000 rpm, providing the machine with substantial hoisting power and stable swing performance. The boom hoisting mechanism allows for smooth adjustment with a rope speed of 70 m/min, while the swing system offers a slewing speed of 4.0 rpm for efficient crane rotation.

In terms of mobility, the Kobelco 7070 achieves a maximum travel speed of 1.9 km/h and has a gradeability of 40%, enabling it to navigate challenging terrain with ease. The wide crawler tracks provide excellent ground pressure distribution, measured at approximately 80 kPa, which contributes to both machine stability and minimal ground disturbance on soft or uneven job sites.

For safety and operational convenience, the 7070 comes with multiple hook blocks ranging from 7-ton single sheave hooks to 70-ton five sheave blocks, each equipped with safety latches. Additional attachments like auxiliary sheaves and various boom and jib configurations further enhance its adaptability on site. Standard features include load moment indicators, travel alarms, wind speed indicators, and safety interlocks to ensure secure lifting operations.

Designed with operator comfort and accessibility in mind, the 7070 features a spacious cab with large windows for excellent visibility, ergonomic controls, and reliable instrumentation for efficient day-to-day operations.

All these features combined make the Kobelco 7070 an exceptionally capable crawler crane, ideally suited for contractors who demand reliability, lifting power, and flexibility in their equipment lineup.
