The Kobelco 7200G-2N is a powerful 200-ton class crawler crane built for precision and strength in demanding construction and industrial environments. Designed with modular flexibility and efficient transport in mind, this crane delivers impressive lifting capabilities combined with cutting-edge engine technology and reliable structural engineering. The crane has a rated maximum lifting capacity of 200 tons at a 5.0-meter working radius. The standard boom system can be configured from 18.3 meters to 73.2 meters, and a long boom configuration extends this range further up to 91.4 meters using modular inserts. Optional attachments include various tower boom and luffing jib systems that allow for high-reach and heavy-lift operations, especially beneficial in energy and high-rise installations.

Powering the 7200G-2N is a SCANIA DC09 086A engine delivering 276 kW at 1500–1850 rpm, complying with modern emission standards while maintaining fuel efficiency. The engine feeds into a responsive hydraulic system that enables variable line speeds and consistent load control. Main and auxiliary winches both operate at hoisting speeds between 3 and 110 meters per minute, depending on load and rope layer. The boom hoisting winch operates at speeds from 2 to 29 meters per minute using a dual-drum configuration.

The crane’s slewing system rotates at up to 2.2 rpm, and it travels at speeds of 1.0 km/h or 0.6 km/h in low gear, with a 30% gradeability rating. The crawler undercarriage is robust and built for stability on uneven or soft terrain, applying a ground pressure of approximately 136 kPa in standard crane configuration and slightly more with extended attachments.

Safety and operational control are integral to Kobelco’s design. The crane is equipped with load moment indicators, hook height limiters, swing limiters, and anti-two-block systems. Multiple hook options ranging from 35t to 200t, including ball hooks and sheave blocks, allow tailored rigging based on the job’s requirements. All hoisting wire ropes are high-strength steel—φ28 mm for hoist lines and φ22 mm for boom and luffing ropes—with generous drum capacities to support extended lifting heights.

Operator ergonomics and visibility are emphasized in the 7200G-2N’s cab design, featuring full instrumentation, climate control, and a responsive control layout that aligns with international standards for crane operation. Modular design also allows for efficient disassembly and transportation, with the main components designed to fit standard trailer loads.
