Product Description
Debuting as a reliable heavy-lift crawler, the Manitowoc 11000-1 is engineered for efficiency and durability on the job site. The crane is powered by a robust HINO J08E-UV 6-cylinder water-cooled diesel engine, delivering 213 kW (285 HP) at 2100 rpm, meeting Interim Tier 4/Stage IIIB emissions for US/Canada/Europe markets, and also available in a Tier 3 variant (HINO J08E-VM) for markets outside those regions. The fuel tank holds 400 liters (105 gallons), supporting long operating hours.
The upperworks feature a full-flow hydraulic control system, allowing responsive and smooth operation across its front and rear drums, boom hoist brakes, and clutches. The 11000-1 can achieve a maximum line speed of 163 meters per minute (535 feet per minute) and a rated line pull of 113 kN (25,200 lbs), with the ability to equip an optional third drum for additional flexibility.
The main boom is a welded lattice design using high-tensile steel chords with pin connections for rapid assembly. The boom system is highly configurable:
- Basic boom length is 40 feet (12.2 m),
- Maximum main boom length is 200 feet (61 m),
- Boom and fixed jib combination can reach up to 250 feet (76.2 m).
For additional reach and capacity, a fixed jib can be attached, with optional inserts bringing the total jib length up to 60 feet (18.3 m). The crane’s counterweight system consists of upper weights (totaling up to 69,000 lbs/31,300 kg) and carbody weights (totaling up to 31,750 lbs/14,400 kg), optimizing stability for heavy lifts. The crawler tracks are 36 inches (914 mm) wide and hydraulically extendable for transport or operation.
The operator’s cab is fully enclosed with safety glass, air conditioning, and excellent visibility, equipped with Manitowoc’s easy-to-read load moment indicator (LMI) and maintenance display for safe operation. For travel, the crane achieves speeds of up to 1.73 km/h (1.07 mph) and is built with sealed, maintenance-free track rollers.
The 11000-1 is designed for ease of transport, with the base machine and major components engineered for quick assembly and breakdown. Optional equipment includes multiple hook blocks, detachable upper boom point, and hydraulic tagline, enhancing jobsite adaptability.
With Manitowoc’s strong support through its Crane Care program—offering technical documentation, training, and global parts support—the 11000-1 remains a trusted crawler in the heavy-lift segment for contractors seeking reliability, capacity, and flexible boom/jib configurations.
