Product Description

The Sany SCC8200 is a 200-ton class crawler crane designed with international market demands in mind, notably those in the United States. Showcased at the 2013 Bauma exhibition in Germany, it represents Sany’s effort to combine performance, transportability, and ease of operation in a heavy-duty crane. With a maximum rated lifting moment of 1,424 tonne-metres, the SCC8200 offers strong load-handling capacity across a variety of boom and jib configurations.

The crane’s main boom extends from 16 to 86 metres, while its optional attachments include a 13 to 31-metre fixed jib and a 21 to 51-metre luffing jib. In its longest boom + fixed jib combination, it achieves 102.5 metres of lifting reach, and in the longest boom + luffing jib combination, it offers 103 metres of reach. The boom luffing angle ranges from 30° to 80°, and the jib luffing angle from 15° to 75°, allowing for flexible lifting operations at various heights and radii.

Powering the SCC8200 is a Cummins QSL9 Tier 3 diesel engine, producing 242 kW at 2,100 rpm, paired with Rexroth hydraulic pumps and drive motors. The travel speed reaches up to 1.5 km/h and swing speed is up to 2 rpm. It boasts a gradient capability of 30%, supporting operation on uneven jobsite terrain. The average ground bearing pressure is 0.1 MPa, making it suitable for sensitive ground conditions.

Key design features of the SCC8200 include high-performance lifting via a load-sensing electro-hydraulic system, dual operation modes for safety, and high-efficiency self-assembly that allows for quick setup and disassembly within 3 hours. The crane can also transport with a single unit weight of just 43 tonnes, keeping within global shipping limits, and has a body width of 3 metres. It features a 6-metre wide track gauge for enhanced stability during 360° lifting.

Operator comfort and safety are at the forefront, with a cab styled by Porsche Design Studio featuring a large LMI display, improved visibility, heater and air-conditioning, and ergonomic controls. Additional features include main drum bail limits, rear counterweight camera system, standard lighting package, aircraft warning lights, and various automated safety interlocks such as anti-lightning protection, swing locking, load limits, and moment monitoring.

Overall, the SCC8200 brings together advanced lifting capabilities, simplified transport, and robust safety systems in a versatile crawler platform ideal for construction, infrastructure, and energy sector projects.
