Kato KR-35H-V2 (SS-350SP-V)
The Kato KR-35H-V2, branded as SS-350SP-V, is a 35-ton class rough terrain crane featuring a long 6-section boom, luffing jib, and an advanced hydraulic drive system. It’s optimized for performance, precision, and ease of maneuverability, even in restricted construction zones.

Product Description
The Kato KR-35H-V2, also designated as the SS-350SP-V, is a rough terrain crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 35 tons. Its crane structure incorporates a 6-section fully powered telescopic boom, extending from 8.1 meters up to 36.2 meters. In addition to the main boom, the crane can be equipped with a fly jib measuring either 8.2 or 13.0 meters, offering further flexibility in lifting at height and radius.
The rated lifting capacities span a wide range: 25,000 kg at 3.0 meters (10.4 m boom), 22,500 kg at 5.0 meters (16.2 m boom), down to 2,000 kg at 75° angle using the longest boom and jib combination. Boom elevation ranges from -0.5° to 83° with full raising completed in just 36 seconds. The extension from 8.9 to 36.2 meters is achieved in 115 seconds.
For hoisting operations, the KR-35H-V2 delivers a line speed of 107 m/min with the main winch (fourth layer), and 118 m/min with the hook rope. The crane also features powerful hydraulic outrigger systems with multiple extension lengths to ensure a stable footprint on diverse job terrains.
On the carrier side, the crane is mounted on a compact and agile 4×4 drive system. Powered by a Mitsubishi 6D24-TE1 engine (turbocharged, 6-cylinder, 4-stroke), it outputs 299 PS at 2,200 rpm and 110 kgf·m of torque at 1,400 rpm. The maximum travel speed reaches 49 km/h, and the minimum turning radius is only 5.3 meters in 4-wheel steering mode, giving it excellent mobility in tight spaces.
This crane uses a 3-mode steering system (front, rear, and coordinated 4-wheel) and includes fully automatic transmission with a torque converter. Suspension is coil spring-based with shock absorbers and hydraulic lock, ensuring smooth and controlled operation across rugged job sites.
Braking is handled by a double-circuit air-over-hydraulic system, supported by auxiliary exhaust brakes. Its 300-liter fuel tank allows long operational endurance.
Safety features include Kato’s ACS (Automatic Crane Stopper), winch drum lock, overhoist prevention, outrigger interlocks, moment limiter system, and travel-related monitoring devices. The cab is designed for comfort with air-conditioning, full instrumentation, and ergonomic control layout.
With a total vehicle weight of approximately 25,305 kg and a compact length of 11.58 meters, the KR-35H-V2 is suited for infrastructure, industrial, and civil engineering projects where mid-range capacity and high reach are essential.
