Product Description

The RTC-8030 Series II by Link-Belt is engineered for efficient and agile lifting in confined or off-road conditions, offering a rated capacity of 30 USt (30.0 metric tons). Its standout feature is the four-section, full-power “diamond embossed” boom, which extends from 29 to 91.3 ft (8.8 to 27.8 meters). This robust design enables quick reeving and provides high strength-to-weight efficiency.

Two boom extension modes are available—A-max and Standard—allowing the crane to adapt to different lifting scenarios for optimal capacity and performance. For extended working reach, the crane supports a 25 ft (7.6 m) fixed fly and an optional 27–44 ft (8.2–13.4 m) two-piece fly, both of which can be offset at 2°, 20°, and 40°. These configurations enable a maximum tip height of 143 ft (43.6 m), ideal for mid-rise lifting or utility infrastructure work.

Powering the crane is a Tier 4 Final-compliant Cummins QSB 4.5 engine, paired with a 6-speed powershift transmission. The RTC-8030 Series II offers selectable 4×2 and 4×4 drive modes with 20.5R25 tires, and includes three steering modes: independent front, coordinated (combination), and crab. This ensures exceptional maneuverability even in restricted or rugged job sites.

The crane is equipped with pilot-operated hydraulic controllers and high-performance winches. The main winch provides a maximum line pull of 11,948 lbs (5,420 kg) and a maximum line speed of 452 fpm (138 m/min), enabling fast cycle times without compromising safety or precision.

For enhanced mobility and stability, the RTC-8030 Series II incorporates a 4-link rear suspension system with an optional Hydro-gas ride system, increasing comfort and control over uneven terrain. The crane’s superstructure and undercarriage are purpose-built for strength and compact operation, offering reliable performance across construction, utility, and industrial applications.

Designed without deduction for stowed attachments, and built to meet or exceed ANSI B30.5 and CSA Z150 standards, the RTC-8030 Series II is a proven performer in its class—balancing reach, mobility, and ease of operation for maximum jobsite productivity.
