Tadano TR-250M-4

The Tadano TR-250M-4 is a 25-ton rough terrain crane designed to operate efficiently across diverse terrain and compact sites. It boasts a 4-section, hydraulically telescoping boom that extends from 9.8 meters to 30.4 meters, using synchronized extension (stages 3 & 4) and sequential extension (stage 2). This gives the crane a competitive edge in terms of reach and versatility. The maximum lifting height is 44.2 meters when the jib is attached.

The main boom is complemented by a two-stage bi-fold lattice jib with lengths of 8.0 and 12.7 meters, providing a maximum tip height of 44.2 meters and enabling offset angles of 5°, 17°, and 30°. Both the boom and jib are supported by robust winch systems, which include high/low range speeds (117 m/min and 58 m/min on the main winch, 100 m/min and 50 m/min on the auxiliary winch).

Powering the TR-250M-4 is a Mitsubishi 6D16-T diesel engine producing 205 PS at 2,800 rpm and 65 kg-m of torque at 1,600 rpm. It utilizes a torque converter transmission and full hydraulic drive system. The crane offers multiple steering modes (2-wheel front, 4-wheel coordinated, and 4-wheel crab) for optimal maneuverability on rough terrain or tight job sites. The maximum travel speed reaches 49 km/h with a gradeability of 60%.

Outriggers are hydraulically operated, with multiple extension widths allowing a stable lifting platform. A large 400-liter fuel tank ensures extended operational time. Safety features are extensive, including automatic moment limiter (AML), winch drum lock, swing brake, hydraulic safety valves, and counterbalance valves. Additional standard equipment includes a boom angle indicator and operator-friendly cab layout with all essential functions ergonomically grouped.
