Product Description
The Liebherr LTR 11200 is among the largest telescopic crawler cranes ever developed, built to provide heavy-lift capabilities while retaining the operational advantages of a telescopic boom. With a maximum lifting capacity of 1,200 metric tons, the LTR 11200 mirrors the upperworks of the LTM 11200-9.1, combined with a powerful crawler undercarriage that ensures superb mobility and stability on uneven terrain.
Its main boom system features a telescopic length from 18.3 to 100 meters, comprising seven sections with an extendable telescoping cylinder and rope extension mechanism. For extended lift heights and outreach, the crane supports an impressive range of lattice jibs, including:
- A fixed lattice jib from 6.5 m to 36 m,
- Luffing lattice jib from 18 m to 96 m,
A possible maximum hoisting height of up to 188 meters and a working radius of 136 meters, depending on configuration.
Powering the LTR 11200 is a Liebherr diesel engine rated at 270 kW, driving the hydraulic system for crane functions with ample fuel and operational efficiency. The slewing mechanism allows for smooth 360° rotation under load, supported by a high-capacity slewing ring and planetary gear drives.
The crawler undercarriage is engineered to handle the enormous load moments with telescoping crawler tracks (variable gauge), giving it both transport efficiency and optimal on-site stability. Its compact transport dimensions are achieved through modular dismantling, including removal of the boom sections, crawlers, counterweights, and superstructure.
Counterweight systems include up to 202 tons on the slewing platform, 160 tons of central ballast, and 100 tons of counterweight on the crawler chassis, allowing precise load moment balancing for high-load configurations.
Control is handled via LICCON2, Liebherr’s advanced crane control system, which includes automatic configuration monitoring, load charts for all working configurations, and onboard diagnostic support. Operator safety and ease of use are elevated with intuitive display systems and programmable lifting sequences.
In essence, the Liebherr LTR 11200 is tailored for heavy industrial construction, wind turbine assembly, refinery modules, and bridge work, where high lifting capacity, long boom reach, and crawler mobility are paramount. It bridges the gap between lattice boom crawler cranes and high-capacity mobile cranes by offering both reach and transport advantages in a single platform.
