Product Description

The Potain Topkit MC 300 C1 K12 is a robust and versatile top-slewing tower crane, engineered to meet the heavy-duty demands of large-scale construction environments. With its maximum load capacity of 12 tonnes and a maximum jib length of 70 meters, the crane provides ample coverage for large jobsites. At full reach, the crane can lift 3 tonnes at the tip, while shorter jibs allow for significantly higher tip loads—up to 6.8 tonnes at 40 meters. The crane’s height under hook in freestanding configuration is 64.3 meters, with its pivot height at 21.2 meters and an overall crane height of approximately 115.5 meters in maximum tower configuration.

The MC 300 C1 K12 is built on a sturdy 2×2 meter mast system with a 6-meter square base. It supports a wide range of mast configurations, including P20A, VB20A, P21A, and VB21A types, which allow tower heights to be configured modularly in 2 to 3-meter increments. The foundation and climbing base options, such as the BA66A, enable internal climbing, making this crane especially suitable for high-rise and in-core construction projects. Depending on the setup, the crane can be configured to reach total heights up to 64.3 meters freestanding or much higher in telescoping/climbing configurations.

The crane is powered by a selection of hoisting mechanisms. The 70 RCS 30 VAI winch provides a hoisting speed of up to 80 m/min with a rope capacity suitable for buildings up to 565 meters tall, offering 70 hp (51 kW). Alternatively, the 75 LVF 30 hoist provides even stronger torque with a power output of 75 hp (55 kW) and a rope length exceeding 570 meters, offering finer speed control and efficient operation under varying loads.

Slewing is handled by the RTV system, capable of rotating the crane at up to 0.7 rpm, driven by two 9.5 hp (7 kW) motors. The trolleying mechanism, model 6 D3 V4, allows the trolley to travel between 10 and 80 m/min, ensuring smooth and rapid load movement across the jib. For travelling cranes, the RT 544 A1 2V bogie system ensures stable movement on rails with speeds between 13.5 and 27 m/min, powered by four 5.2 kW motors.

The MC 300 C1 K12 operates on a standard 400V, 50Hz electrical supply as per CEI 38 and IEC 38 standards. Depending on the chosen hoisting system, the required electric power is either 110 kVA for both the 70 RCS and 75 LVF hoists. Its tower design, rated load curves, and flexible configuration options make it highly adaptable for high-rise buildings, bridgework, and heavy precast operations.

A hallmark of Potain’s engineering excellence, the MC 300 C1 K12 demonstrates exceptional structural integrity, precise control, and powerful lifting performance, making it a valuable asset in any demanding urban or industrial construction project.
