Demag AC 95
The Demag AC 95 is a 40-ton all terrain crane built on a compact 4x4x4 carrier with a 9-section telescopic main boom reaching up to 50.4 meters. Powered by a 171 kW Daimler-Benz engine, this crane is engineered for versatility and maneuverability on challenging terrains. With optional fly jibs and heavy-lift sheaves, the AC 95 offers extended lifting height and flexible load handling for a wide range of applications.

Product Description
The Demag AC 95 is a compact and agile 40-ton capacity all terrain crane, designed to deliver high performance in urban, industrial, and off-road environments. Despite its lower lifting class, the AC 95 stands out with a 9-section telescopic main boom that extends to an impressive 50.4 meters, surpassing many cranes in its category. This long reach allows it to handle elevated lifting tasks typically associated with higher-capacity models.
Built on a 4x4x4 all-wheel drive and steering chassis, the crane’s monobox main frame is constructed from high-grade, close-grained structural steel, ensuring rigidity and strength. Its compact size and excellent maneuverability make it ideal for restricted job sites. The crane is equipped with four hydraulically telescoping outriggers integrated with jacking cylinders for stable and level lifting on various ground conditions.
The AC 95 is powered by a Daimler-Benz OM 366 LA, a 6-cylinder, water-cooled diesel engine delivering 171 kW (233 HP) and a peak torque of 750 Nm at 1,400 rpm. It features a Powershift transmission with torque converter, electric gearshift, and an integral transfer case, offering smooth and reliable driving performance. The axle system includes planetary hubs and transverse differential locks, while hydropneumatic suspension and hydraulic axle locking provide a stable platform during crane operations.
In terms of hydraulic systems, the crane uses a variable-displacement axial piston pump along with a fixed-displacement pump, enabling up to four simultaneous independent movements, which significantly enhances operational efficiency. The hoisting mechanism includes a fixed-displacement axial piston motor with planetary reduction and a spring-loaded holding brake. The slewing unit is driven by a hydraulic motor with planetary reduction, a foot-operated slewing brake, and spring-loaded holding functionality.
For added lifting versatility, the AC 95 can be fitted with optional fly jib extensions measuring 9.2 m or 17.6 m, and can be offset at 0°, 20°, or 40°. It also includes a 1.5-meter heavy-lift attachment and optional additional sheaves on the boom head, enabling duties exceeding 34.4 tonnes, expanding the crane’s utility in specialized tasks. The standard 2.2-ton counterweight can be augmented with additional weights as needed.
The crane features an electronic safe load indicator that displays critical lifting parameters such as hook load, boom length, angle, and radius. Safety is enhanced through integrated limit switches, pressure relief valves, and monitoring systems for load and motion control. Crane functions are operated using self-centering control levers and hydraulic pilot control, offering smooth and precise operation.
The operator cab is built for comfort and functionality, featuring a rubber-mounted steel-plate design with safety-glass windows, an armoured-glass roof window, and a sliding door. The cab is equipped with complete instrumentation, a thermostat-controlled heater, and optional air conditioning. Visibility and comfort are improved through large folding-out windshields, windscreen wipers, and a programmable timer system.
The Demag AC 95 can be fitted with 16.00 R 25 or 20.5 R 25 tubeless off-road tires depending on terrain demands, and includes towing and transport configuration options, such as air-brake hook-up and 12 t capacity (not suspended).
