Product Description

The Grove GMK4100 (branded GMK4115 in the U.S. market) is a four-axle all-terrain crane introduced at Intermat 2008, designed for exceptional maneuverability, lifting performance, and transport flexibility. With a lifting capacity of 100 tonnes (115 U.S. tons), the GMK4100 is equipped with a six-section, 52-meter MEGAFORM® main boom, utilizing Grove’s Twin-Lock™ boom pinning system for enhanced structural strength and rapid deployment. For extended reach, it offers a 10–17-meter bi-fold swingaway jib, which can be further augmented with two 5-meter inserts, allowing a maximum tip height of up to 82 meters.

The crane’s carrier is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM501LA diesel engine producing 315 kW (422 HP) at 1800 rpm, paired with a ZF AS-Tronic automated manual transmission with 16 forward and 2 reverse speeds. The crane uses Grove’s MEGATRAK™ independent suspension system with hydro-pneumatic suspension and all-wheel steering, allowing unmatched off-road capability and excellent roadability. The superstructure is driven by a separate Mercedes-Benz OM904LA engine, offering 129 kW (173 HP), and powers a load-sensing hydraulic system for precision control.

The GMK4100’s ergonomic cab features a modern layout with an intuitive CCS (Crane Control System), air conditioning, and a fully adjustable seat for operator comfort. Load moment indicators, hoist limiters, and anti-two block systems are integrated for operational safety. Transport-wise, its compact 2.55-meter width allows it to meet European road regulations without requiring special permits. Counterweights can be distributed according to transport needs, with up to 26.5 tonnes of counterweight available.

With its combination of reach, power, and compact footprint, the GMK4100 is ideal for urban lifting, industrial plant work, and infrastructure projects, offering performance typically associated with larger cranes but in a highly mobile four-axle configuration.
