Product Description

The Kato KA-3000RX represents the pinnacle of Kato’s large-capacity all terrain crane lineup, with a maximum lifting capacity of 300 metric tons at a 2.5-meter radius. Designed for major infrastructure, energy, and high-rise projects, the crane features a 5-section round-shaped hydraulic boom extending from 14.4 to 55 meters. This robust boom design offers high torsional rigidity, enabling superior lifting performance across a wide range of boom angles, from -1° to 85°. The maximum boom lifting height reaches 55.3 meters.

To enhance its reach and flexibility, the KA-3000RX is equipped with two interchangeable jib systems. The super luffing jib extends from 10.85 to 35 meters in four hydraulic sections and can be offset between 0° to 60°, with a maximum lifting height of 92 meters when paired with the full boom. The heavy lift jib, built from lattice sections, ranges from 13 to 54 meters in six lengths and is supported by a 4.4-meter base bracket. This jib can be offset between 10° to 60°, achieving an impressive lifting height of 110.7 meters and handling up to 84 tons with a 9-meter lift height. Both jib systems are equipped with slope support and vertical deployment functions, enabling safe assembly even in confined work zones.

Mounted on a 9-axle carrier, the KA-3000RX features Kato’s proprietary wide-cabin carrier system for optimal comfort and visibility. The chassis is powered by a high-performance engine producing 405 kW at 1800 rpm with 2600 Nm torque at 1300 rpm, compliant with EUROMOT IIIB emission standards. The drivetrain includes a safety brake system incorporating exhaust, retarder, and decompression braking to maintain control on long slopes. All axles are fitted with full-air disc brakes for superior stopping performance and reduced maintenance.

The crane features 6-axle steering with multiple steering modes, including “crab” and “counter-steering”, enabling an ultra-tight right-angle turning passage of just 8.39 meters, ideal for maneuvering on narrow or congested job sites. The vehicle position control system adjusts suspension height and alignment automatically based on terrain conditions.

For stability, the KA-3000RX employs 5-position H-type outriggers with hydraulic leveling. Outrigger extensions range from 5.4 to 9.4 meters, providing adaptable support to match load conditions. Outrigger forces are monitored via a touch-screen control panel on the side of the carrier.

The crane’s operation cab offers ergonomic layout and visibility with tilting capability (up to 15°) for high-elevation work. It features Kato’s new ACS load moment system with a full-color touchscreen that calculates safe lifting zones in real time and automatically stops crane operations if overload is detected. An integrated COR system monitors fuel consumption, crane load, outrigger conditions, and maintenance parameters.

To streamline setup, the boom foot can be divided into two parts for simplified installation, and the winch includes a quick rope-edge socket connection system. The KA-3000RX’s counterweight system offers 17 combinations from 105 to 11 tons, enabling flexible configuration based on job requirements.

With advanced hydraulics, intelligent control systems, and an extensive range of lifting configurations, the KA-3000RX is engineered to meet the most demanding lifting tasks with power, precision, and efficiency. It is ideal for high-rise construction, energy plant assembly, and heavy industrial lifts that require maximum height and load handling.
