Product Description
The Kato KA-1000SL is a fully hydraulic, 100-ton capacity all-terrain crane designed for robust lifting performance in a range of demanding environments. It is equipped with a 5-section main boom extending from 11.8 meters to a full 45.8 meters, and compatible with super luffing jib (SL jib) extensions in 8.6, 14.4, and 20.2-meter configurations, enabling total lifting heights well above 60 meters.
To accommodate different operational conditions, the crane supports multiple outrigger spans from 4.0 to 7.8 meters, and uses a front jack for enhanced stability. Rated capacities are classified under multiple lifting performance categories (A1 to B5), depending on outrigger extension and counterweight configuration. This versatility allows the KA-1000SL to be tailored to both heavy-duty and compact-site lifting requirements.
For boom-only lifting, the rated lifting capacity reaches up to 100 tons, with configurations offering over 50 tons of lifting at radii of 6 meters or more. With the SL jib attached to a 45.8-meter boom, the crane maintains impressive capacity even at extended radii. The SL jib can be used at multiple offset angles (5°, 15°, 30°, 60°) to optimize lifting based on jobsite geometry.
Transport-wise, the upper structure, counterweights, and hooks must be transported separately, and the base carrier complies with Japan’s C-class road regulation standards. During on-road travel, special road and vehicle regulations apply, including necessary permits for size and weight exemptions.
The crane is operated using a safety-integrated system that includes over-wind protection, boom angle limiters, and load monitoring systems. Various hook options are available, including 100-ton, 45-ton, and 7-ton variants, with appropriate reeving numbers detailed in the rated load charts.
With its powerful lifting envelope, modular jib configuration, and terrain versatility, the Kato KA-1000SL is ideally suited for infrastructure projects, heavy construction, and industrial installations where reach and capacity must be optimized simultaneously.
