Liebherr LTM 1220NX-2

The Liebherr LTM 1220NX-2 is a high-capacity 220-tonne class all terrain crane developed with state-of-the-art Liebherr engineering. The crane is equipped with a 60-meter, 6-section telescopic main boom and supports an optional hydraulic luffing jib (チルドジブ) ranging from 12.2 to 36 meters. With the jib attached, the crane can achieve a maximum tip height of up to 102 meters, making it suitable for a wide range of lifting applications including industrial installation, wind power, and construction.

The main and auxiliary winches are each capable of a line pull of 10.5 tons, and operate at a hoisting/lowering speed of up to 130 m/min. It also features fast boom elevation speeds (approx. 360 seconds from 13.2 to 60 meters) and a swing speed range of 0 to 1.8 rpm. The counterweight system supports up to 74 tons of counterweight for stability during high-lift operations.

For transport and mobility, the crane rides on a robust 5-axle carrier with a top travel speed of 80 km/h and a tight minimum turning radius of 9.9 meters. It features 16.00 R25 tires and a gradeability of 30.9%. The carrier is powered by a Liebherr D9408TI-E 8-cylinder diesel engine delivering 544 hp at 2,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 2,500 Nm at 1,100–1,400 rpm. The upper engine is a 4-cylinder Liebherr D924TI-E with 245 hp output.

Control is enhanced with the LICCON system, providing load moment limiting, boom angle/radius digital displays, and diagnostics for safe operation. The crane includes features like automatic pressure adjustment pumps for the hydraulic circuit, operator-friendly joystick controls, and advanced load management displays.

Hook blocks range from 10 to 242 tons, and are offered with 1 to 9 sheaves, depending on load handling requirements. The LTM 1220NX-2’s efficient drivetrain, strong lifting power, and adaptability make it a top-tier choice for demanding lifting environments.
