Sany SAC3000T 300 ton mobile crane with 81m main boom

Key Features & Benefits

The SAC3000T represents the upper segment of SANY’s T-Series all-terrain crane range, designed to bridge the gap between mid-capacity AT cranes and larger heavy-duty models. As outlined in the official SAC3000T technical brochure , the crane is rated at a maximum lifting capacity of 300 tonnes and is engineered for high lifting moment and extended boom performance in complex working environments.

The crane is equipped with a seven-section main boom constructed from high-strength fine-grain steel with a U-shaped cross-section to optimize weight distribution and structural rigidity. The main boom extends to 81 m, significantly improving working radius coverage compared with 73 m-class machines. Full telescoping is hydraulically powered, and the main boom performance charts shown in the brochure (pages 8–10) illustrate stable load curves across extended radii, particularly under full counterweight configuration.

For enhanced reach and high-elevation operations, the SAC3000T supports fixed and luffing jib configurations. The fixed jib and luffing jib performance charts (pages 10–12) demonstrate extended lifting heights exceeding 100 m depending on configuration. The luffing jib arrangement allows improved capacity retention at large working radii, making the crane suitable for wind turbine component installation and refinery steel structure erection.

The maximum lifting moment is in excess of 8,000 kN·m (as indicated in the main technical parameter table on page 5), placing it firmly within the heavy-duty 300-ton category. The crane is equipped with a large modular counterweight system to balance long-boom and jib operations effectively.

The hoisting system utilizes high-strength wire ropes and electro-proportional hydraulic winch control. According to the working speed parameters shown in the technical specification pages, the crane provides high single-line lifting speeds suitable for both heavy lifting and precision placement. The slewing system supports 360° continuous rotation, ensuring stable and smooth operation under combined movements.

The carrier is a heavy-duty multi-axle configuration designed to distribute axle loads efficiently while maintaining road legality. The brochure imagery clearly shows a six-axle chassis arrangement, supporting the crane’s transport weight and stability. The maximum travel speed is 80 km/h, and maximum gradeability is approximately 50%, as highlighted in the feature summary section (page 4). The chassis uses a high-power diesel engine compliant with contemporary emission standards, paired with an automatic transmission to provide both low-speed torque for site maneuvering and highway efficiency.

The outrigger system adopts a full H-type layout with wide span deployment to maximize lifting stability. The structural frame is fabricated from high-strength steel box sections to ensure torsional rigidity under maximum loading conditions.

The operator’s cab is ergonomically designed, featuring panoramic visibility, adjustable suspension seating, integrated load moment indicator display, and full climate control. The crane is equipped with SANY’s intelligent control and monitoring system (GCP remote monitoring system shown on page 4), allowing operational data tracking and remote diagnostics. Safety systems include a load moment limiter based on analytical mechanics modeling, boom and jib angle sensors, wind speed monitoring, and automatic overload protection.

Hydraulic architecture employs high-quality pumps, valves, and motors integrated into a closed-loop control system to deliver precise micro-movement control and energy-efficient operation. The system is optimized for synchronized multi-function operation, which is critical when handling heavy prefabricated components at extended radii.

Overall, the SANY SAC3000T combines a 300-ton lifting capacity, 81 m main boom, advanced jib configurations, high lifting moment, six-axle mobility platform, and intelligent control technology. It is designed for demanding lifting applications such as petrochemical plant construction, bridge segment erection, heavy industrial installation, and wind power auxiliary lifting where high capacity and extended reach are essential.
