Product Description

The AR-1200M-1 comes with a 5-section box-type telescopic boom that extends from 12.2 to 47.5 meters. It uses a three-cylinder hydraulic extension system and wire rope mechanism, allowing for smooth and efficient boom operation. The boom supports a maximum lifting capacity of 120 tons at a 2.7-meter radius with 17-part line reeving. Boom elevation ranges from -2° to 81.5°, and it can be raised fully in just 55 seconds.

To extend lifting reach, the crane can be fitted with optional jibs. The fixed jib spans 9.8 to 21.0 meters, while the luffing jib can reach up to 35.0 meters. When combined with the main boom, the crane can achieve a maximum lifting height of 77.0 meters, making it suitable for tall structure and industrial lifting tasks.

The slewing system provides continuous 360° rotation with a slewing speed of 1.5 rpm. Both the main and auxiliary winches are powered by hydraulic motors with planetary reducers, delivering a rope speed of up to 135 meters per minute (4th layer). A range of hook blocks is available, including 120-ton (17-part), 50-ton (7-part), and 8-ton (1-part) options.

The crane is mounted on a FAUN RTF120-5 carrier chassis with a 10×6 drivetrain (10×8 for off-road). It’s powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM442LA V8 turbo diesel engine that produces 503 PS at 2100 rpm. The transmission is fully automatic, with five forward and one reverse speed, paired with hydro-pneumatic suspension for smooth travel. Steering includes multi-mode options such as 6-wheel, 10-wheel, crab, and rear-axle steering, with a minimum turning radius of just 8.5 meters.

For lifting stability, the AR-1200M-1 uses full hydraulic H-type outriggers with a maximum spread of 8.0 meters and several intermediate settings. The crane supports two counterweight configurations: 22 tons and 12 tons, depending on lifting demands.

Safety systems include Tadano’s Automatic Moment Limiter (AML), boom motion soft stop, slew restriction, two-block prevention, and rope slack detection. The operator cabin includes a multi-display AML screen, comfortable seating, air conditioning, and wide visibility to improve working conditions.

Overall, the Tadano AR-1200M-1 offers excellent lifting performance, smooth operation, and road mobility, making it a solid choice for infrastructure, plant erection, and heavy-duty lifting in tight or varied job sites.
