Tadano GA-600NR

The Tadano GA-600NR all-terrain crane is purpose-built to handle heavy lifting in diverse jobsite conditions, combining high capacity, extended reach, and excellent on- and off-road mobility. This crane features a maximum lifting capacity of 60 metric tons and comes equipped with a 4-section fully powered telescopic boom that stretches from 10.7 meters to a full 42 meters. For added height and flexibility, the optional jib extends 11 meters, with elevation angles up to 60°, allowing for a maximum hook height exceeding 53 meters when combined.

The crane is mounted on a 4-axle FAUN Gm 8-h all-terrain carrier, offering full-time all-wheel drive and steering. It utilizes a robust DaimlerChrysler OM501LA engine (Euro 2 compliant), delivering 257 kW at 2,000 rpm with torque rated at 1,600 Nm at 1,080 rpm. The drivetrain includes a ZF 12-speed transmission (8 forward/4 reverse), and the transfer case includes a two-speed power divider for both on- and off-road conditions.

The GA-600NR achieves a maximum road speed of 70 km/h, and with its compact overall dimensions of 12.6 meters in length and 2.75 meters in width, it maintains maneuverability even in urban or confined areas. The crane’s total vehicle weight is 25,750 kg with an axle load distribution that complies with Japanese road regulations.

The superstructure is powered by a separate Daimler OM904LA engine, outputting 105 kW at 2,200 rpm, which powers the main hydraulic systems. The lifting mechanism includes a 2-stage winch system driven by hydraulic axial piston motors with planetary gears, allowing fine control during hoisting and lowering. Slewing is powered by a high-torque hydraulic motor and features automatic brake engagement for improved safety.

Operator comfort and precision are emphasized with an ergonomic cabin design, large visibility windows, load moment indicators, and hydraulic joysticks for fine control. Safety features include anti-two-block systems, outrigger interlocks, and load monitoring with digital displays.
