Demag CC 2200
The Demag CC 2200 is a 350-ton capacity crawler crane designed for heavy-duty lifting applications. It offers multiple boom configurations with lengths up to 126 meters. Powered by a 260 kW DaimlerChrysler engine, this crane provides advanced hydraulic control, stability, and versatility for large-scale industrial and construction projects.
Terex Demag announced in November 2003 that they will be launching CC 2200 in mid-2004. The CC 2200 is designed based on the existing CC 1800-1. The CC 2200 have a similar concept with CC 1800-1 crawler carrier and superstructure but comes with a different boom system. The 350-tonne crawler has a 3-metre wide boom, allowing it to maximise its load in steep and medium angle boom positions, particularly with superlift attachment – which is optimum for windmill installation.

Product Description
The Demag CC 2200 is a 350-ton crawler crane built to handle heavy lifting tasks in construction, infrastructure, and industrial applications. Featuring a robust crawler carrier structure, the crane includes a 3-section carrier with a carbody and two crawler side frames, which are hydraulically pin-connected for easy assembly and disassembly. The high-strength fine-grain structural steel construction ensures durability, while the hydraulically driven tracks, powered by planetary gear reduction units, provide precision control and excellent maneuverability in tough terrain conditions.
Powered by a DaimlerChrysler OM 501 LA diesel engine, the CC 2200 produces 260 kW (353 hp) at 2000 rpm, complying with EUROMOT 3a, EPA T3, and CARB emission standards. The engine powers an advanced hydraulic system featuring five variable displacement axial piston pumps, providing smooth control over hoisting, slewing, and boom functions.
The crane’s boom system is highly versatile, with various configurations that allow it to adapt to different lifting needs. The SH boom extends from 24 to 84 meters, while the SH/LH setup offers a longer reach, extending up to 108 meters. For tasks requiring even greater reach, the SSL/LSL configuration allows for boom lengths of up to 126 meters. Additionally, the crane can be equipped with luffing jib options, with lengths ranging from 18 to 84 meters, providing further flexibility for high-reach and complex lifting operations. The boom sections are constructed from lattice-type tubular structures, ensuring strength and stability during operations.
The Demag CC 2200 is equipped with a suite of safety features, including electronic load indicators, hoist and boom movement limit switches, hydraulic boom backstops, and an anemometer for wind monitoring. The operator cab is ergonomically designed for comfort, featuring large safety-glazed windows, air conditioning, and complete instrumentation. The cab can be tilted for improved visibility during lifting operations and swung forward for transportation.
For added lifting performance, the crane includes optional Superlift equipment, with additional counterweights of up to 200 tons for increased stability during heavy lifts. The crane also features hydraulic quick-disconnect fittings, making it easy to assemble and disassemble boom sections, further enhancing its operational efficiency.
Overall, the Demag CC 2200 combines powerful lifting capacity, flexible boom configurations, and advanced hydraulic systems, making it a dependable choice for large-scale construction, infrastructure, and industrial lifting projects that require heavy-duty performance and reliability.
