Fuwa QUY1250
The Fuwa QUY1250 is a high-capacity crawler crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 1,250 tonnes at an 8-meter radius, designed for super-heavy lifting operations. For the manufacturing of the QUY1250, Fuwa invested over RMB 100 million (approximately US$ 15.9 million) between 2009 and 2010. On May 19, 2010, Fuwa set a new record in Asia at its Liaoning, Fushun facility by manufacturing this powerful crane. Following a successful load test of 1,560 tonnes, the QUY1250 was delivered to its first customer, China First Metallurgical Group Co., Ltd. The crane offers a main boom length of up to 120 meters and a luffing jib combination that can extend up to 228 meters, making it ideal for large-scale projects in sectors such as oil, gas, and infrastructure development.

Product Description
The Fuwa QUY1250 is a super-heavy-duty crawler crane built for demanding lifting projects, with an impressive lifting capacity of up to 1,250 tonnes at an 8-meter radius when equipped with a superlift. The crane supports a variety of configurations, with a main boom length ranging from 42 to 120 meters and optional luffing jibs that extend the reach up to 228 meters (120 meters of main boom combined with a 108-meter luffing jib). This flexibility makes it ideal for complex lifting tasks in industries such as petrochemical, offshore, and heavy infrastructure.
The crane is equipped with a Cummins QSK23 engine, delivering 641 kW of power at 2100 rpm, which ensures efficient operation of its extensive hydraulic systems. The crane features an independent hydraulic circuit for each function (hoisting, derricking, luffing, swing, and travel), enhancing control and efficiency. The crane’s main and auxiliary winches offer hoisting speeds of up to 130 m/min, while the derricking speeds range from 0 to 60 m/min, supporting swift and precise load movements. Additionally, the luffing jib and superlift derricking speeds reach up to 120 m/min, facilitating smooth positioning of heavy loads.
The QUY1250 has a robust superlift system, which includes a mast length of 42 meters and a superlift counterweight of up to 450 tonnes, providing enhanced stability for heavy lifts. The crane’s swing radius varies depending on the setup, from 15 to 24 meters with the superlift. The swing speed is capped at 1 rpm, and the crane can travel at a maximum speed of 1 km/h, ensuring safe maneuvering across the site.
Safety features are integral to the QUY1250’s design. It includes hook and boom over-hoist prevention devices, a moment limiter that monitors load conditions and provides alarms if loads exceed safe limits, and an anemometer for wind monitoring. The crane also has a three-color load indicator and various other sensors that monitor gradient, angle, and backstop conditions, enhancing operational safety.
The crane’s ground bearing pressure is 0.142 MPa, and it can handle dericking angles between 30° and 85° on the main boom and 13° to 72° on the luffing jib, providing versatility for a range of lifting angles. The total crane mass, including the superlift counterweight, is approximately 761 tonnes, demonstrating its robust construction.
With its advanced hydraulic system, powerful engine, and extensive safety features, the Fuwa QUY1250 is a highly capable crane suited for some of the most challenging lifting tasks. Its modular design also allows for efficient transport and setup, making it an excellent choice for large-scale projects requiring high lifting capacities and extended reach.
