Product Description
The Hitachi-Sumitomo SCX700-3 is a robust and adaptable crawler crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 70 tons at a 4.0-meter working radius, suitable for medium-duty lifting tasks in construction, infrastructure, and industrial applications. The crane offers multiple configurations for different applications:
- Liftcrane Configuration: Basic boom length of 9.5 meters, extendable up to 54.5 meters, providing significant reach for general lifting tasks.
- Tower Configuration: Tower height ranges from 21.7 meters to 42.7 meters, with tower jib extensions of 19.0 to 31.0 meters. This setup is ideal for lifting in confined spaces and achieving extended heights.
- Clamshell Configuration: The SCX700-3 supports a clamshell bucket capacity of up to 1.2 cubic meters with a maximum digging depth of 36 meters, making it suitable for material handling and excavation tasks.
The crane’s winch system provides efficient lifting capabilities, with front and rear main drum speeds of 105 meters per minute (80 meters per minute under certain conditions) and a third auxiliary winch speed of 90 meters per minute. The tower jib hoist drum operates at 55 meters per minute, facilitating quick and smooth lifting adjustments.
The SCX700-3 features a swing speed of 5.0 rpm, offering rapid and controlled rotational movements for precise load positioning. The crane’s travel speed ranges between 1.8 km/h in high mode and 1.2 km/h in low mode, allowing it to navigate job sites effectively. It has a gradeability of 30%, enabling stable operation on sloped and uneven terrains.
Powered by a Cummins QSB6.7 engine with a rated output of 201 kW (273 PS) at 2,000 rpm, the crane delivers reliable power for various lifting operations while complying with modern emission standards. The ground contact pressure varies based on configuration: approximately 93 kPa in liftcrane mode with a 70-ton hook, 103 kPa in tower mode, and 95 kPa when configured for clamshell operations.
The crane’s operating weight also changes with configurations, weighing about 74 tons in liftcrane mode, 82 tons in tower mode, and 76 tons in clamshell mode, ensuring a stable base for safe and efficient lifting.
Overall, the Hitachi-Sumitomo SCX700-3 combines flexibility, power, and stability to provide a reliable solution for medium-scale lifting and material handling tasks. Its versatile configurations, strong engine, and advanced safety features make it suitable for diverse job site requirements.
