Product Description
The IHI CCH2500 crawler crane, with a maximum lifting capacity of 250 metric tons at a 5.0-meter working radius, is engineered for high-performance heavy-duty applications. It operates on a fully hydraulic system and is powered by a HINO K13C-UV six-cylinder, water-cooled turbocharged diesel engine delivering 374 PS (275 kW) at 2,000 rpm. The engine drives a series of axial piston-type hydraulic motors that operate various systems including the dual hoist drums and boom functions.
The crane is equipped with two main and auxiliary hoist drums, each using a Lebus grooved design and wet-type multi-disc brakes, allowing for controlled and smooth lifting operations. The standard boom length extends from 18 meters up to 90 meters, with combinations using inserts (3m, 6m, 9m) and a 10.5m outer boom, while the optional jib lengths range from 13 to 37 meters. A mast installation is necessary for boom lengths exceeding 69 meters. This flexible boom and jib system allows the CCH2500 to cover a wide range of lifting operations.
With a swing speed of 1.7 rpm and travel speeds of 0.9 km/h and 0.5 km/h, the crane maintains mobility even on challenging terrain, supported by its high 30% gradeability. Its total operating weight is 87 tons (with an 18m basic boom), and it uses 87 tons of counterweight plus an additional 16-ton upper body weight, resulting in a ground pressure of approximately 104 kPa.
The operator’s cab is ergonomically designed, complete with a reclining seat, visibility-enhancing features like a sun visor, tinted glass, and ceiling wipers, and electronic aids such as winch speed control, emergency stop switches, and the EPIC (Electronic Powered Integrated Control) system. These features ensure a safe and comfortable operating environment.
The IHI CCH2500 stands out as a heavy-lift crawler with excellent lifting range, modular transport configuration, and operator-focused design, making it ideal for infrastructure, energy, and industrial projects.
