Kobelco CKE1350

Kobelco has added a new 135 tonnes crawler crane, CKE 1350, to their existing CKE series of crawler with the first production unit launched at Bauma 2004 in Munich, Germany.

Product Description

The CKE 1350 is rated 135 tonnes at 4.5 metres working radius and features a lattice main boom from 15.2 to 76.2 metres. With the fixed jib attachments of 30.5 metres, it can reach up to a maximum lifting height of 106.7 metres.

The 135 tonnes crawler cranes also have luffing jib as an option. A configuration of 48.6 m + 53.3 m is possible to lift 2 tonnes at a working radius of 66 metres.

The crane is powered by Mitsubishi 6D24-TLU2H diesel engine rated at  247 kW / 2,000 rpm.

Q-Plant Hire taken delivery of UK’s first CKE 1350 in 2009

Manchester-based crane rental company, Q-Plant Hire has ordered a total of 6 units of brand new crawler crane from Kobelco, consisting of 4 units of CKE 800, 1 unit of CKE 1100 and 1 unit of CKE 1350 in 2009.

The CKE 1350 went straight to work in a long-term contract with contractor Costain on Thames Water’s West Ham flood alleviation scheme at the Abbey Mills pumping station in East London.

The 135 tonnes crawler crane was providing main lifting services at a depth of 23 metres for deep tunnel shaft-head where a 3.3 km, 2.8 m diameter tunnel system is being excavated for drain storm water from the surrounding sewerage network for treatment at Beckton Sewage Treatment Works.
