Product Description
The SCC8000A-6 represents a focused evolution in SANY’s 800-ton crawler crane lineup, introduced to meet the growing demands of constructing ultra-tall wind turbines (up to 15 MW class), modular heavy industry components, and other high-load, high-altitude lifting projects. While retaining the nominal 800-ton lifting capacity, this model features optimized structural geometry, slewing-type superlift system, and enhanced transport and assembly logistics, setting it apart from previous models.
The crane’s maximum lifting moment reaches 13,440 t·m in superlift configuration. The main boom is extendable from 24 to 108 meters, built from high-strength lattice sections for both durability and flexibility in configuration. Its luffing jib ranges from 24 to 96 meters, and in combination, these systems allow the crane to achieve lifting heights exceeding 170 meters—specifically targeting installations for 168+12 meter wind turbines.
A standout feature in the SCC8000A-6 is the optimized slewing superlift counterweight system, with a maximum counterweight of 390 tons and a slewing radius adjustable between 24 and 30 meters. The mast and counterweight tray can be self-assembled, significantly improving setup efficiency and reducing dependency on auxiliary lifting equipment. The structure is designed for high-load transfer efficiency, especially at large radii, which is critical in wind power construction.
For propulsion, the SCC8000A-6 uses a dual-engine design. The upper structure is powered by a Cummins QSK19 engine producing 597 kW at 2100 rpm, compliant with China Non-Road Stage III standards. The lower chassis is equipped with a Cummins QSB6.7 engine outputting 194 kW at 2000 rpm, independently driving crawler travel and maneuvering systems. This separation ensures reliable performance during both lifting and mobilization phases.
The crane rides on large crawler tracks with 1500 mm-wide shoes, offering low ground pressure and excellent stability. Maximum travel speed is 1.0 km/h, and the crane can climb slopes up to 30% with the base boom. The hoisting systems use large-capacity winches capable of rope speeds up to 160 m/min, suitable for high-rise component lifts. The slewing mechanism offers a full 360° rotation with a speed of 0.8 rpm.
The entire crane structure is modularized for transport, with the heaviest single transport component weighing under 45 tons—ideal for both domestic and international logistics. Fast-disassembly joints and automatic pin systems allow for rapid on-site assembly.
The operator cab is ergonomically designed with wide panoramic windows, dual-monitor control displays, climate control, and a vibration-damping seat for enhanced comfort during extended operations. The crane also integrates SANY’s proprietary safety systems, including a full-featured load moment indicator (LMI), anti-two block, slewing and hoist limiters, and remote diagnostics.
In sum, the SCC8000A-6 is purpose-built for the most demanding wind power and ultra-heavy lifting operations. It pushes the boundary of 800-ton crawler crane capabilities with structural and operational innovations that maximize performance, safety, and transport efficiency in modern high-rise construction environments.
