Product Description
The Zoomlion QUY180 crawler crane is a high-capacity hydraulic lifting machine designed to handle demanding jobs in construction, energy, and heavy industrial sectors. With a maximum lifting capacity of 180 tons at a 5-meter working radius, this crane is built upon a robust steel undercarriage fitted with wide crawlers for stable ground contact and excellent load distribution. The deadweight of the crane with the basic boom configuration stands at 167 tons.
The QUY180’s main boom system is constructed from high-strength imported tubular steel with a truss-type design and uses anchoring rods of high-strength plates. The standard heavy-duty boom extends from 20 meters to 83 meters, while an optional light-duty boom extends from 86 to 92 meters, supporting versatile configurations for various lifting tasks. The crane can be equipped with a fixed fly jib ranging from 13 to 31 meters, allowing combined maximum boom and jib lengths up to 102 meters. For projects requiring complex lifting geometries, a luffing fly jib ranging from 24 to 51 meters is also available, pairing with the main boom for a combined maximum length of 107 meters.
The hydraulic system employs one of the world’s most advanced load-sensing configurations, with imported variable displacement pumps, motors, and main control valves to ensure efficient, precise flow distribution with high reliability. The hydraulic tank holds 1000 liters, supporting continuous heavy-duty operations. The main and auxiliary winches feature variable displacement axial plunger hydraulic motors, balance valves, and dual-speed operation, achieving maximum single rope speeds up to 110 meters per minute and rated single rope pulls of 135 kN.
Slewing operations are driven by an internal hydraulic motor with a triple-row roller external geared slewing bearing and planetary reducer, providing stepless speed regulation up to 1.4 rpm. The slewing system includes a controllable slip-turn function to reduce shock and improve precision during startup and braking.
The travel system is driven by two independent hydraulic motors and reducers, enabling functions such as straight-line travel, differential steering, pivot steering, and driving with load. The maximum travel speed is 1.2 km/h, and the crane can handle grades up to 30%.
A key highlight of the QUY180 is its integrated self-assembly system, including mast jacking and counterweight loading/unloading mechanisms. This enables the crane to self-mount its mast, booms, counterweights, and even crawler assemblies without auxiliary equipment, significantly improving onsite deployment efficiency and safety.
Power comes from a Cummins QSL9-C305 electronically controlled diesel engine delivering 227 kW at 2000 rpm and maximum torque of 1505 Nm at 1400 rpm. The engine meets U.S. EPA Tier 3 and EU Stage III emission standards and is supported by a large 700-liter fuel tank for extended operating times.
The operator cab features reinforced steel construction, panoramic visibility, adjustable seat, air conditioning, digital LCD monitoring system, and a CAN-bus based integrated control system. The crane includes advanced safety features such as a load moment limiter, overwinding and over-release protection devices, boom angle limiters, wind speed sensors, and a tri-color warning light system to indicate operational load states.
With a sophisticated combination of high structural strength, advanced control systems, modern safety features, and excellent self-assembly capability, the Zoomlion QUY180 offers contractors a powerful, reliable solution for medium to large-scale lifting applications.
