Kato NK-300VR

The Kato NK-300VR is a compact and capable truck-mounted crane engineered for reliable mid-scale lifting operations. It features a 30-ton rated lifting capacity with its boom extended to 10.6 meters at 3.0 m radius, and up to 7.5 tons at 9.0 m radius when fully extended to its maximum boom length of 34.0 meters. The four-section telescopic boom is hydraulically operated, with synchronized extension of boom sections 3 and 4. For additional reach, it includes a two-section fly jib offering lengths of 8.3 meters and 13.8 meters, achieving a maximum lifting height of 48 meters.

The NK-300VR is mounted on a 6×4 FAW CA5325JQZ commercial truck chassis, equipped with a FAW CA6DL1-29E3 diesel engine producing 213 kW at 2300 rpm and 1150 Nm of torque. The drivetrain includes an 8-speed manual transmission with one reverse gear, and the truck supports travel speeds up to 73 km/h and gradeability of 35%.

Hoisting operations are managed by main and auxiliary winches driven by axial plunger hydraulic motors, offering line speeds of up to 105 m/min (main winch) and 91 m/min (auxiliary winch). The main hoisting line allows for a lifting speed of 10.5 m/min with 10-part lines, while the auxiliary hook achieves full line speed. Both winches feature automatic braking, drum locks, and over-hoisting prevention.

The slewing system allows 360° rotation at 2.3 rpm, with a compact slewing radius of 3,370 mm, and the boom angle can be adjusted from -3° to 82° in just under a minute. A hydraulic H-beam outrigger system provides a stable base, with fully extended spans reaching 6,100 mm. The crane includes a full suite of safety systems such as automatic crane system (ACS) with voice alerts, winch hoisting limiters, slewing locks, and hydraulic safety valves.

Measuring 12.65 meters in length, 2.5 meters in width, and 3.8 meters in height, the NK-300VR maintains transportability within legal road limits. With a gross weight of 30,900 kg, and durable construction using standard commercial truck parts, it offers straightforward maintenance and efficient operation.
