Product Description

The Kato NK-500E-v is a powerful 50.5 metric ton class fully hydraulic truck crane, engineered to handle a wide range of medium-to-heavy lifting operations with precision and reliability. This model is equipped with a five-section telescopic boom, extending from 10.8 meters to a maximum length of 40 meters. For increased reach, it also incorporates a two-section fly jib that ranges from 9.2 meters to 15 meters. These configurations enable flexible working ranges, allowing the crane to tackle demanding lift scenarios efficiently.

The NK-500E-v features rapid and smooth hydraulic operations: the boom derricking range covers angles from -2° to 81°, with a derricking time of 63 seconds and a boom extending time of 132 seconds when moving from 10.8 meters to the maximum 40 meters. The crane’s hoisting system delivers high-speed operation with the main winch achieving rope speeds up to 115 meters per minute (at the third layer) and the auxiliary winch up to 100 meters per minute (at the second layer). The hoisting hook speed on the main winch is 9.58 meters per minute with 12 parts of line, while the auxiliary hoist reaches 100 meters per minute with a single part of line.

Slewing operations are driven by an axial piston type motor, achieving a slewing speed of 2.4 rpm, supported by a planetary gear reduction mechanism and equipped with automatic brakes and free-fall devices for safety and precision. The hydraulic system utilizes a four-section gear-type pump, double-acting cylinders, and a control valve with integrated check and relief functions. The oil reservoir capacity stands at 650 liters, ensuring consistent performance during prolonged operations.

Carrier configurations for the NK-500E-v include chassis models such as the Mitsubishi KJ505S and Nissan Diesel KG54T, both featuring 8×4 drive systems. The Mitsubishi variant uses the 8DC9-2A diesel engine, delivering 300 PS at 2,200 rpm with a maximum torque of 1,029 Nm at 1,400 rpm, while the Nissan variant employs the RE8 engine producing 315 PS at 2,300 rpm and 1,029 Nm at 1,400 rpm. Both carriers are equipped with single dry plate clutches, 10 or 9-speed transmissions, ball nut-type power steering, and semieliptic leaf spring suspension systems. The maximum traveling speed reaches 80 km/h for the Mitsubishi carrier and 71 km/h for the Nissan, with respective gradeabilities of 28% and 38%.

Safety is prioritized through a suite of integrated devices, including ACS (automatic crane stopper), boom falling and overhoist prevention devices, drum locks, turning indicators, hydraulic safety valves, and outrigger lock devices. Optional equipment includes cab cooling and heating units, radios, and front jacks to improve operator comfort and operational flexibility.

With its combination of lifting capacity, boom reach, high-speed hoisting, and robust carrier platforms, the Kato NK-500E-v continues to be a dependable choice for construction, infrastructure, and heavy lift projects demanding both performance and reliability.
