Product Description

The Link-Belt HTC-1060 is a truck-mounted hydraulic crane designed for robust lifting performance and on-road mobility, ideal for contractors requiring a combination of lifting power and travel efficiency. This 60-ton class machine is built around a 4-section full-power boom ranging from 38’6″ to 120’0″ (11.75 m to 36.73 m), incorporating a base section, two power-extended mid-sections, and a manually pinned fourth section. The fourth section can be engaged through a mechanical cylinder locking system, which simplifies extension without requiring complex hydraulics. The boom’s side plates are reinforced with diamond-shaped impressions to optimize strength-to-weight ratio, rated to 100,000 psi (689.5 MPa).

The standard boom is complemented by a 34’6″ (10.52 m) stowable one-piece lattice fly, with optional extensions of 25’0″ (7.62 m) and 30’0″ (9.14 m) available for added reach. These A-frame style jibs can be offset at 5°, 17.5°, or 30° and are suitable for mounting to the fly only, extending tip height for projects requiring extended horizontal or vertical lift radius. The boom elevation ranges from -3° to 78°, controlled by two double-acting Link-Belt-designed hydraulic cylinders.

The load hoist system consists of the standard Model 2M winch with a two-speed motor and automatic brake, plus bi-directional gear-type hydraulic drive. An optional auxiliary Model 2M winch or a Model 3M gravity-controlled free-fall winch can be added. The system supports a maximum line pull of 15,870 lbs (7,199 kg) and maximum line speed of 548 fpm (167.03 m/min) on a 17″ (0.43 m) root diameter drum using 3/4″ (19 mm) wire rope.

Mounted on a Link-Belt 8×4 carrier chassis measuring 10′-1 1/2″ (3.09 m) wide and with a wheelbase of 230-1/2″ (5.85 m), the HTC-1060 is engineered for stable travel and lifting performance. The frame is fabricated from high-strength alloy steel with box-type sections and integrated outrigger boxes for solid support. Outriggers are hydraulic and include four single-beam units with vertical jacks that extend to a maximum of 22’4″ (6.81 m) centerline-to-centerline and retract within the chassis width.

The crane is powered by a Cummins 6CTA 8.3 diesel engine, a 6-cylinder, 4-stroke unit with 504.5 cu.in. (8,267 cm³) displacement. It delivers 240 hp at 2,200 rpm and peak torque of 645 ft-lbs (874.62 J). The drivetrain features a Fuller Roadranger RTO-6613 transmission with 13 forward and 3 reverse speeds. The HTC-1060 can reach a top speed of 50.4 mph (81.1 km/h) and offers a maximum gradeability of 34% based on peak torque.

Axle configuration includes tandem front and rear axles, with the front axle offering a 101″ (2.57 m) track and the rear axle a 90″ (2.29 m) track. Suspension comprises front spring suspension with torque rods and a rear solid-mounted bogie beam at 54″ (1.37 m). The crane is fitted with full air brakes and an air dryer as standard, with emergency and parking systems operating through spring-loaded chambers that automatically engage below 60 psi (4.14 Bars).

The operator cab is mounted on the upperstructure, isolated by rubber mounts for reduced vibration, and features large safety glass windows, full instrumentation, and 6-way adjustable seating. It includes controls for swing, boom functions, hoist, outriggers, lighting, and monitoring systems. The carrier cab features an upholstered interior with vinyl covering, standard heating, wipers, horn, mirrors, and dual battery setup for reliable electrical performance.

Overall, the Link-Belt HTC-1060 stands out as a well-rounded mobile crane, offering powerful lifting, smooth transportability, and operator-focused design. It is an optimal choice for structural steel erection, HVAC installations, utility work, and general construction where 60-ton capacity and on-road efficiency are required.
