Key Features & Benefits
The Sany STC1000T was developed to strengthen Sany’s presence in the 100-ton truck crane category, offering enhanced lifting performance, structural durability, and mobility tailored for infrastructure construction, petrochemical projects, and high-rise building applications. According to the technical brochure, the crane features a seven-section telescopic boom fabricated from high-strength welded structural steel with a U-shaped cross-section design. The main boom extends from 12.3 meters to 64.5 meters using a single-cylinder pinning telescopic system that improves extension precision and reduces shock during boom operation. The basic boom delivers a maximum lifting moment of 4,920 kN·m, while the fully extended boom provides 2,400 kN·m. When equipped with the 15.5-meter jib and optional 6-meter main boom extension plus two 6-meter jib inserts, the maximum lifting height reaches 97.3 meters, with a maximum working radius of 72 meters .
The crane’s hoisting system offers a maximum single-line speed of 135 m/min for both the main and auxiliary winches. Boom telescoping time is approximately 500 seconds for extension and 550 seconds for retraction, while luffing time ranges from 60 seconds up to 150 seconds depending on direction. Slewing speed is continuously variable from 0 to 1.8 rpm, utilizing a dual-motor drive closed-loop slewing system that ensures smooth 360-degree rotation . The crane is supplied with multiple hook blocks including 10-ton, 75-ton (standard), and optional 100-ton configurations.
The STC1000T is mounted on a five-axle carrier chassis configured as 10×6×8, with axles three, four, and five driven, and axles one, two, four, and five steerable. At speeds below 45 km/h, the rear auxiliary steering enhances maneuverability, enabling a minimum turning radius of 9.8 meters. Overall vehicle dimensions measure 14,276 mm in length, 3,000 mm in width, and 4,000 mm in height, with a total gross vehicle mass of 54,990 kg .
Power for travel is provided by a Dongfeng Cummins ISZ480 51 six-cylinder inline diesel engine delivering 353 kW at 1,900 rpm and a maximum torque of 2,330 N·m at 1,200 rpm, compliant with China V emission standards. The superstructure is powered by a Cummins QSB6.7-C260 engine rated at 194 kW at 2,200 rpm with 990 N·m torque at 1,500 rpm, meeting China III emission requirements. The carrier uses an Eaton 11-speed transmission with 11 forward and 3 reverse gears. The maximum travel speed reaches 85 km/h, with a maximum gradeability of 45 percent and fuel consumption of approximately 65 liters per 100 kilometers .
The undercarriage employs a heavy-duty rectangular-section frame to improve bending and torsional rigidity, validated by extensive fatigue testing exceeding 10,000 cycles. Suspension consists of steel leaf springs engineered for both durability and ride comfort. The crane runs on 385/95R25 all-steel radial tires, supporting both highway and jobsite performance. Outriggers provide a maximum support span of 7.8 meters transversely and 8.0 meters longitudinally, with front swing-out outriggers offering 360-degree lifting capability .
Counterweight configuration reaches up to 40.2 tons with six available combinations, offering flexibility depending on job requirements. Safety systems include a high-precision load moment limiter, three-wrap protection for both winches, boom angle and length sensors, wind speed monitoring, and automatic fault diagnosis for both superstructure and carrier systems .
Overall, the Sany STC1000T was engineered as a high-performance 100-ton truck crane emphasizing strong lifting charts, long boom reach, efficient dual-engine configuration, and compact five-axle maneuverability. Its balanced combination of structural strength, hydraulic precision, and road mobility makes it suitable for demanding lifting operations while maintaining practical transport efficiency.
