Product Description
Introduced as part of Tadano’s flagship large-capacity truck-mounted crane series, the TG-1600M-1 is engineered for heavy lifting in both industrial and infrastructure projects. The crane features a five-section, full-powered hydraulic telescopic boom ranging from 17.5 meters to 50.0 meters, delivering a maximum lifting height of 51.0 meters and an operational working radius of up to 47.0 meters. The boom is complemented by a hydraulically offsettable jib with various combinations: an 11.3 m fixed jib, or a two-piece 6.2 m + 13.3 m and 6.2 m + 21.3 m jib with offset angles of 10°, 20°, 30°, 40°, and 50°, allowing a maximum jib working height of 76.0 meters and a radius of 57.5 meters.
Lifting capacities range from 160,000 kg at 3.3 m (12.5 m boom) to 27,000 kg at 12.0 m (50.0 m boom). The hoisting system includes a main winch with a line speed of 135 m/min on 6th layer, and an auxiliary winch capable of 112 m/min (5th layer). Winches use durable 25 mm wire rope for the main (310 m) and 22 mm for the auxiliary (250 m), with breaking loads of 52 t and 43.3 t, respectively.
The boom elevation spans from -1.5° to 83°, achieved in 80 seconds, and the crane offers 360° continuous swing with a high-speed swing rate of 1.6 rpm. For secure lifting, the crane features a complete AML (Automatic Moment Limiter) system, along with over-winding protection, swing locks, drum rotation indicators, and multiple hydraulic lock devices on critical cylinders.
Powered by a Nissan PF6T diesel engine, the TG-1600M-1 outputs 250 PS at 1800 rpm with maximum torque of 106 kg·m at 1200 rpm. The transmission includes 7 forward and 1 reverse speeds via a manual gearbox paired with a torque converter. The upper engine driving the crane’s hydraulic system is a Nissan RF804, outputting 270 PS at 1700 rpm.
Mounted on a 4-axle chassis (with 2 steering axles), the carrier measures 11,770 mm in length, 3,400 mm in width, and 2,750 mm in height, offering road speeds up to 65 km/h and a minimum turning radius of 11.8 meters. The gross vehicle weight is 37,000 kg, distributed with 13,860 kg over the front axles and 23,140 kg at the rear.
Outriggers are fully hydraulic and extend to a maximum width of 8.0 meters, with intermediate stops at 6.0 meters. Jacks are hydraulically operated and independently controlled. Safety and comfort are further enhanced with auxiliary features such as an oil cooler, cab heater, air conditioning, radio, and camera system.
