Product Description
The Kato KR-22H-2 (MR-220SP) is a rough terrain crane with a lifting capacity of 22 tons at 3.0 m. It features a fully hydraulic 4-section main boom with a minimum length of 6.7 m and extends up to 28.0 m. Additionally, it includes a two-stage fly jib with lengths of 5.8 m and 8.2 m, resulting in a maximum lifting height of 37.1 m when the jib is used.
The crane is powered by a Mitsubishi 6D16-TE1 engine, a 6-cylinder, water-cooled, turbocharged diesel engine delivering 250 PS at 2,800 rpm with a maximum torque of 72 kg·m at 1,600 rpm. The fuel tank has a capacity of 440 liters. The transmission offers 4 forward and 1 reverse gears, selectable between 2WD and 4WD configurations.
The KR-22H-2 has a swing speed of 2.6 rpm and boom elevation speed from -2° to 83° in about 45 seconds. Both the main and auxiliary winches deliver a line pull of 4.0 tons and a hoisting speed of 107 m/min (4th layer). The slewing and lifting operations are supported by hydraulic pilot systems and safety-enhancing features like ACS (Automatic Crane System), hydraulic safety valves, and drum lock systems.
The carrier section has a wheelbase of 3,500 mm, overall length of 9,065 mm, and width of 2,390 mm. It rides on 385/95 R25 170E ROAD tires and supports a gross vehicle weight of 25,305 kg. The crane offers a minimum turning radius of 5.0 m with 4-wheel steering and a gradeability of 0.6 tan θ. It includes a comfortable operator cabin, centralized lubrication, and multiple safety devices.
This model is ideal for urban construction projects where compactness, lifting precision, and mobility are essential.
