Kato KR-25H-V (SR-250)
The Kato KR-25H-V, also branded as the SR-250 Limited, is a 25-ton rough terrain crane equipped with a long 30.5-meter boom, high-performance hydraulic systems, and a powerful Mitsubishi 6D16T diesel engine. This model offers impressive lifting reach and mobility for confined or demanding job sites.

Product Description
The Kato KR-25H-V, also known under the model SR-250 Limited, is a high-spec rough terrain crane designed for heavy-duty lifting tasks and superior maneuverability in restricted site conditions. With a maximum rated lifting capacity of 25 metric tons at a 3.5-meter working radius, it delivers the strength and reliability expected from a Kato machine.
The crane’s boom system comprises five sections that extend telescopically to a full length of 30.5 meters, with an additional offsettable jib (13 meters) bringing the maximum lifting height to 44.8 meters. The main boom operates at a derrick angle range of 0° to 83°, with boom elevation completed in 35 seconds, and slewing capable of continuous 360° rotation at a speed of 2.5 rpm.
Powered by a Mitsubishi 6D16T turbocharged diesel engine, the crane generates 220 PS at 2,800 rpm and peak torque of 65 kg-m at 1,600 rpm. It features a maximum traveling speed of 49 km/h and gradeability of up to 0.6 tan θ. The drive system is a selectable 4×2/4×4 layout, allowing the crane to switch between 2WD for road travel and 4WD for rough terrain operation. The transmission supports 4 forward and 4 reverse speeds, with a mechanical synchronizer and torque converter assist.
The hydraulic system includes a 450-liter oil reservoir and multiple high-efficiency pumps. Both main and auxiliary winches offer excellent hoisting performance—main winch speed reaches 127 m/min (4th layer), and the auxiliary hits 111 m/min. The wire rope specification is 165 m x 16 mm for the main winch and 90 m x 16 mm for the auxiliary.
Outriggers extend hydraulically with configurations of 5.1 m (middle), 5.1 m (short), and up to 6.3 m fully extended, ensuring stability even in uneven working conditions. Safety features include the Kato ACS system for automatic load monitoring and operational guidance, free-fall prevention, and numerous emergency overrides.
The KR-25H-V is well-suited for infrastructure construction, utility maintenance, and any job requiring compact power and high lifting reach. It combines advanced electronics, reliable hydraulic design, and a compact footprint to make it one of the most capable cranes in the 25-ton class.
