Product Description

Kato’s KR-50H-V is a rugged and high-performing 50-ton rough terrain crane equipped to tackle complex lifting jobs with precision and efficiency. At its core is a powerful Mitsubishi 6D24-TCE2 diesel engine delivering 350 PS at 2,200 rpm, coupled with a full-time 4×4 drive and a 2-speed hydrostatic transmission. This combination provides the machine with excellent mobility on and off the road, reaching speeds of up to 49 km/h and offering a tight turning radius of just 10.4 meters.

The crane’s main boom spans from 10.4 meters to an impressive 39.0 meters across five fully powered telescoping sections, which can be operated via synchronized hydraulic cylinders. It boasts outstanding load handling versatility, lifting up to 50 tons at 3.0 meters. A two-stage fly jib with a maximum length of 13.0 meters can be fitted, providing total lifting heights of up to 52.0 meters when combined with the boom.

Winch systems on the KR-50H-V are robust and efficient, featuring main and auxiliary winches with line speeds up to 116 m/min (2nd layer), powered by variable displacement axial piston motors and equipped with hydraulic brakes and planetary reducers. The boom hoist system uses dual synchronized hydraulic cylinders, capable of elevation angles between -3° and 80°, with a raising time of 38 seconds.

Operational safety and control are enhanced by advanced systems such as the ACS (Automatic Crane Safety), a load moment indicator, overload prevention, boom angle and length sensors, and hydraulic lock valves for lifting, slewing, and outrigger functions. The cab is ergonomically designed with full visibility, equipped with climate control, AM/FM radio, and adjustable suspension seating for operator comfort.

Outrigger spread configurations include multiple preset widths (2.4m, 5.6m, 6.4m, and 7.4m), with quick hydraulic operation to ensure stability on uneven surfaces. The crane has a gross vehicle weight of 36,980 kg and carries 300 liters of fuel onboard, enabling extended operation in remote or high-intensity environments.

Overall, the KR-50H-V is an ideal choice for contractors seeking reliability, high lifting performance, and maneuverability in confined jobsite conditions.
