Product Description
The Liebherr LRT 1130-2.1 is the top-end model in Liebherr’s rough terrain crane lineup, introduced during Bauma 2022 with a clear focus on the North American market. With a maximum lifting capacity of 130 tonnes (140 USt), it offers unmatched power and reach among 2-axle rough terrain cranes. The crane’s standout feature is its telescopic boom—the longest in its class—ensuring maximum outreach and operational flexibility.
Built to balance performance and mobility, the LRT 1130-2.1 features compact transport dimensions and a structure optimized for shipment via conventional low loaders. This makes it one of the most logistically efficient cranes in its class, enabling cost-effective transport across global markets.
The crane’s engineering incorporates multiple proprietary technologies designed for efficiency and safety. ECOmode reduces fuel consumption and noise by adjusting engine RPM based on operator-set working speeds, optimizing engine output in real time. AutoBallast streamlines counterweight installation by automating the entire process with a single button press, minimizing setup time and operator workload.
For safety and stability, Liebherr integrates VarioBase®, a system that allows each outrigger to extend independently. This not only enhances setup in tight or uneven areas but also increases lifting capacity, particularly over the outriggers depending on the configuration. SafetyChart provides a globally standardized safety interface compliant with major international standards including ASME B30.5, EN 13000, Australian Standards, and GOST, ensuring regulatory compliance wherever the crane operates.
Further extending its adaptability, the WindSpeed load charts allow operators to reference specific capacity tables depending on environmental wind conditions, improving safety and flexibility under variable site conditions. Finally, the crane is HVO ready, meaning it can operate on hydrotreated vegetable oil fuel, reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 90% and supporting sustainable jobsite practices.
Altogether, the Liebherr LRT 1130-2.1 is a high-performance, environmentally conscious, and safety-enhanced solution for demanding lifting tasks—particularly suited to markets like the U.S. that require a blend of strong capacity, compliance, and transportability.
