Key Features & Benefits

The Sunward SWRT16 rough terrain crane is engineered to deliver efficient lifting performance in confined and uneven terrain environments, with a focus on maneuverability and practicality. With a rated lifting capacity of 16 metric tons and a maximum lifting moment of 480 kN·m, the SWRT16 is ideal for light-duty applications across infrastructure, industrial, and utility work sites.

Its main boom ranges from 5.8 meters to 19.4 meters in length, with a main boom elevation angle between -4.5° and 78°. The optional jib attachment extends up to 5.0 meters, enhancing its operational reach. The crane rides on a compact chassis with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm and an overall vehicle dimension of 6,244 × 2,460 × 3,100 mm (L×W×H), making it suitable for transport and operation in urban and restricted access areas.

The outrigger span is 4,500 mm horizontally and 4,800 mm vertically, ensuring solid lifting stability. It is powered by a 1104D-E44TA diesel engine producing 106 kW at 2,200 rpm, delivering 556 N·m of torque. The engine conforms to China National III emission standards, meeting regulatory requirements for environmentally conscious operation.

The SWRT16 boasts a maximum travel speed of 60 km/h and an approach angle of 23°, combined with a gradeability of 55%, providing strong off-road capabilities. It has a minimum turning radius of 9.5 meters (2-wheel) or 15 meters (4-wheel), enabling tight maneuvering in job sites. Ground clearance of 400 mm helps overcome terrain obstacles.

In terms of functionality, the crane features fully retracting and extending boom speeds of 62/110 seconds and lifting boom raising/lowering times of 35/42 seconds. The slewing speed is rated at less than 2.6 rpm, offering controlled, precise movement. The full cycle extension/retraction of outriggers is 13/10 seconds for horizontal outriggers and 15/12 seconds for vertical ones.

With a base boom lifting height of 8.6 meters and maximum boom height of 21.45 meters (including jib), the SWRT16 provides essential lifting performance in a compact and versatile package. It is an optimal solution for contractors seeking reliability, mobility, and operational ease in demanding off-road lifting environments.
