Product Description
The Tadano GR-300XL is a dependable rough terrain crane rated for a maximum lifting capacity of 30 U.S. tons, ideal for utility, industrial, and construction environments. It features a four-section, full-power telescoping boom with a working range of 27.9 ft to 101.7 ft, built using high-tensile steel for strength and durability. An optional 26.2 ft jib, which offsets at 5°, 17°, and 30°, extends the maximum lifting height to approximately 133.2 ft, enhancing reach capabilities for higher or more complex lifts.
The crane is powered by a Mitsubishi 6M60-TLU3A diesel engine, generating 268 horsepower at 2600 rpm, and is compliant with EPA Tier 3 and EU Stage IIIA emissions standards. It is paired with a powershift transmission offering five forward and four reverse speeds, enabling a top travel speed of 30.4 mph and 65% gradeability, giving it the power to tackle uneven or inclined terrain.
Built for rough terrain, the GR-300XL employs 4-wheel drive and 4-wheel steering, including front-only, rear-only, and crab steering modes. With an overall length of 34.8 ft and width of 8.6 ft, it offers strong maneuverability even in tight spaces. A rigid axle suspension system with leaf springs and hydraulic lockouts provides stable support both in transit and during lifting operations.
The crane’s hydraulic system includes a high-efficiency variable displacement piston pump, managing boom elevation, telescoping, winching, and steering functions. The main and auxiliary winches each offer a maximum line speed of 393.7 ft/min, driven by hydraulic motors with planetary reducers for high lifting precision. The slewing mechanism provides 360° continuous rotation at up to 2.5 rpm, with automatic braking for safe and controlled movement.
The hydraulically extended H-type outriggers reach a maximum spread of 21.3 ft, ensuring lifting stability. The crane also features Tadano’s AML-C load moment indicator, delivering real-time data on boom configuration, lifting load, and safety limits, with visual and audible alerts to ensure secure operations.
Operator comfort is addressed with a spacious cab equipped with an adjustable tilting seat, wide-view glass panels, full HVAC, and joystick controls. The color multifunction display enhances usability with operational diagnostics and crane status monitoring.
Compact, strong, and user-friendly, the Tadano GR-300XL is purpose-built for the North American market, offering a powerful and versatile lifting solution for projects demanding mobility and reliability on uneven or restricted sites.
