Product Description
The HDTC55E telescopic crawler crane from Hunan Holdings Heavy Industry is designed to excel in complex terrains where traditional wheeled cranes falter—particularly in wetlands, deserts, rough construction sites, and oil fields. It is a fully self-propelled crane with a wide crawler base that minimizes ground pressure to just 0.07 MPa, enhancing its ability to operate on soft or unstable surfaces.
Rated for 55 tons of lifting capacity, the HDTC55E provides a maximum lifting moment of 2,035 kN·m with the base boom and 1,064 kN·m with the boom fully extended. The telescoping boom extends from 11.44 to 43.00 meters, and a 7.4 to 11.3-meter auxiliary jib enables total lifting heights up to 55 meters. The boom can be elevated from -3° to +78° and rotated continuously through 360°.
High-efficiency dual winches offer a main hoisting speed of 130 m/min and an auxiliary winch speed of 120 m/min. Boom extension and retraction each take about 115 seconds, while boom elevation and lowering are completed in 72 and 65 seconds respectively. Slewing speed is variable, up to 1.4 rpm.
The crane is powered by either a Cummins QSB6.7-C215 engine (158 kW at 2000 rpm, 963 Nm torque at 1300 rpm) or optionally a Weichai WP7.210 engine (155 kW at 2300 rpm, 800 Nm at 1300 rpm). It features hydrostatic drive using JX80-185 final reducers and A6VE107 travel motors, offering a top travel speed of 2.5 km/h and 25° slope-climbing capability.
The HDTC55E’s transport profile without the auxiliary winch is 12.7 m (L) x 3.3 m (W) x 3.06 m (H) and with winch is 13.3 meters long. Its operating weight is 57,310 kg, including 15,000 kg of counterweight. The hydraulic system operates at 25 MPa with 280 L/min flow, and uses a 680-liter tank.
One of its standout features is its optional aerial work platform, transforming the crane into a high-reach man-lift. It offers:
- Static working height up to 47.7 meters, platform reach of 32 meters
- Mobile working height of 41.7 meters, reach of 28 meters
- ±40° platform rotation
- Load capacity of 350 kg
- Platform dimensions of 2000 x 900 x 1150 mm
- A gasoline-powered auxiliary power unit (optional) rated at 14.9 kW can support emergency or standalone operation.
The HDTC55E is ideal for a wide array of operations including lifting, equipment installation, material loading/unloading, pipeline laying, and even elevated maintenance or construction tasks. With dual functionality as both crane and aerial lift, it adds unmatched flexibility to any job site.
