Potain Igo MA 21

The Potain Igo MA 21 is a versatile and lightweight self-erecting tower crane that caters to the needs of small to mid-sized construction sites, especially where space and setup time are critical. With a maximum lifting capacity of 1,800 kg and a maximum jib length of 26 meters, it can handle a wide range of light construction materials and loads. At the maximum reach of 26 meters, the crane can still lift 700 kg, providing excellent operational range for its class.

The crane’s compact base of 4.2 m x 4.2 m and folding mast design enable rapid deployment and dismantling. It offers multiple hook height options, with the maximum under-hook height reaching approximately 19.3 meters, depending on jib configuration. The boom can be pitched to 20° to enhance reach or avoid obstacles, and its design allows three standard working radii configurations: 21 m, 24 m, and 26 m.

The Igo MA 21 is equipped with the 8 LVF 9 Optima hoisting mechanism, offering lifting speeds up to 39 m/min and smooth load control, especially when paired with the optional variable frequency drives (VFDs). The trolleying system operates at variable speeds depending on load, reaching up to 36 m/min for lighter weights. Slewing is handled by the RVF 20 mechanism with speeds up to 1 rpm, ensuring efficient and precise positioning.

Designed for efficiency and safety, the Igo MA 21 includes features such as hydraulic erection, a SmartCom control interface, and compatibility with multiple voltage systems (230 V single-phase, 400 V/480 V three-phase). It complies with EN 14439 C25-D25 and C50-D50 as well as FEM 1.001-A3 standards, making it a reliable choice in regulatory environments across different markets.

This crane’s lightweight transport configuration—with an approximate transport weight of 19,180 kg and ability to be moved fully ballasted—ensures ease of relocation between job sites without special permits or equipment.
