The Terex-Demag AC 250-1 boasts a maximum carrying capacity of 250 tons, a reach of 3m, and an 80m standard boom. Its undercarriage and superstructure engines are rated at 448kW and 205kW, respectively, and it uses standard 14 tires. This model is part of the AC series and was manufactured between 2001 and 2013 .

The Demag AC250-1 is an advanced all-terrain crane equipped with a comprehensive set of features to enhance its performance and versatility. The crane comes with an H-4-Point outrigger design for maximum stability and includes a powerful Daimler AG engine delivering 450 kW (612 HP), ensuring robust lifting operations. Its fuel tank capacity is 630 liters, supporting long hours of operation, and it features a ZF AS-Tronic transmission system for smooth handling.

This model boasts a 12 x 8 x 10 drive with six axles, enhancing its mobility. The suspension is hydropneumatic with axle load compensation, and the steering system incorporates dual circuit hydro semiblock steering with emergency steering pump and active rear axle steering. Safety is paramount, with pneumatic dual-circuit service brakes, disc brakes, and an integrated hydraulic retarder.

The crane’s telescopic boom extends from 14.5 m to 80 m, and it comes with 52.3 t of counterweight, expandable to 96.6 t, allowing for a variety of lifting tasks. The superstructure is powered by a second Daimler AG engine, and the hydraulic system allows for pump control of four simultaneous working movements. Operator aids include the Demag IC-1 system with integrated electronic load moment indicator and a color display for easy monitoring of crane conditions.

Options for the AC250-1 include a wide variety of attachments and modifications, such as additional counterweight pieces, quick connections for carrier-crane and telescopic booms, additional hydraulic oil cooler, remote control, and a diesel particulate filter. Extensions such as the HAV-HY20 and HAV-HY10 swing-away jibs, variable telescopic boom extensions, and a swing-away rooster sheave, among others, are available to adapt the crane for specific tasks.

This model is painted in Terex standard colors, with special equipment available to meet specific operational requirements, including adaptations for dual-fuel and bio-fuel operation, rear view and radar control systems, and various storage options for tools and spare parts.
