Faun RTF 60-4
The Faun RTF 60-4 is a 60-ton all-terrain crane equipped with a five-section telescopic boom and advanced drive and steering systems, making it a reliable choice for both on-road travel and challenging jobsite conditions.

Product Description
The Faun RTF 60-4 is a 60-ton class all-terrain crane that integrates robust construction, precise hydraulic operation, and superior mobility. The crane’s main lifting component is a telescopic boom consisting of one base section and four telescoping parts, all hydraulically powered. The first three telescoping sections extend independently, while the fourth is actuated via a spring-loaded air cylinder. This configuration allows for flexible boom deployment depending on load requirements and working conditions.
For added reach, the RTF 60-4 supports a lattice-type boom extension measuring 9.8 meters, which folds laterally. An optional double-folded boom extension is also available, with lengths of 8.15 meters and 15.08 meters, further enhancing the crane’s lifting range and application versatility.
Power for crane operations is supplied by a diesel-hydraulic 3-circuit system with two power-controlled axial piston pumps—cross-sensing and hydraulically adjustable—and a single gear pump for secondary functions. The boom is elevated using double-acting hydraulic cylinders equipped with safety check valves. Slewing is managed through a hydraulic motor with a two-step planetary gear and a foot-controlled service brake, allowing smooth, infinite rotation via a ball-bearing slewing ring.
The crane’s carrier is driven by a powerful 8-cylinder Deutz-Diesel engine (BF 8L 513), producing 243 kW (330 HP), while crane operation is supported by a separate 6-cylinder Deutz-Diesel engine (F 6L 913) producing 79 kW (107 HP). The drivetrain consists of a torque converter with a lock-up clutch and a powershift gearbox offering six forward and reverse speeds, backed by a 2-speed transfer case.
With its 8×6 drive system, the first front axle features planetary hub reduction and hydro-pneumatic suspension, while the second axle is steerable and non-driven. The two rear axles are planetary reduction types with hydro-pneumatic suspension and levelling adjustment for locked operation. The crane is equipped with a compressed air brake system and includes auxiliary exhaust braking and automatic parking brakes using air accumulators.
Its 8-fold 16.00 R25 tires support both high-speed road travel and stable site operations. On-road handling is enhanced through a dual-circuit semi-block hydrostatic steering system, with crab steering available for precise maneuvering. The operator benefits from a hydraulically suspended seat in a fully enclosed, all-steel cab with laminated safety glass and twin windshield wipers.
Integral safety systems include hoist limit switches, a load moment device, and pressure safeguards. The Faun RTF 60-4 delivers exceptional lifting capability, flexibility, and reliability—ideal for demanding lift operations in both urban and industrial environments.
