Product Description
Introduced at Bauma 2007 alongside the GMK4100L, the Grove GMK5095 was developed to push the boundaries of 100-ton class all-terrain cranes with both lifting strength and reach. It features a seven-section 60-meter MEGAFORM® main boom constructed with Grove’s patented Twin-Lock pinning system, known for efficient extension and secure boom locking under load. The boom’s profile and pinning offer superior load capacity and stability, making it especially suitable for high-reach tasks such as Potain tower crane erection and structural steel assembly.
To further extend reach, the GMK5095 supports a bi-fold hydraulic luffing swing-away jib with optional extensions of 10 or 17 meters, plus a 5-meter lattice insert. When fully configured, it delivers a maximum tip height of 83 meters, enabling complex operations at height.
Built on a five-axle carrier, the GMK5095 is powered by a Mercedes-Benz OM 502 LA diesel engine, delivering 380 kW (517 HP) at 1800 rpm and 2400 Nm torque. This power is routed through a 16-speed Daimler Chrysler G 240-16 transmission system, configured in a 10x6x10 drive and steer layout. The acclaimed MEGATRAK® hydropneumatic suspension system ensures all-wheel ground contact and level chassis orientation across rough terrain, significantly enhancing off-road maneuverability and load stability.
The carrier supports up to 27.1 tonnes of counterweight, with a base self-removable 11.7-tonne configuration, allowing flexible transport and quick on-site setup. Additional equipment includes all-wheel steer, ABS braking, and multiple tire options (14.00 R25 standard; optional 16.00 or 20.5 R25) to adapt to varying road and ground conditions.
Crane functions are governed by Grove’s ECOS control system, featuring CAN-BUS architecture, dual circuit hydraulics, and an intuitive interface for the operator. Inside the cab, a tiltable structure with full-glass panoramic visibility, air suspension seating, and joystick-integrated armrest controls ensures both comfort and precision.
In essence, the GMK5095 combines high-lift capability, reliable performance, and road-ready mobility, excelling in mid-to-high reach applications with rapid deployment. Its 60-meter boom and flexible jib options position it as a preferred choice for contractors requiring reliable vertical performance within a compact crane footprint.
