Key Features & Benefits

The Grove GMK5100 all-terrain crane is a 100-ton capacity mobile crane designed for efficiency, versatility, and performance across various job sites. It is mounted on a 5-axle special chassis constructed from torsion-resistant box-type high-strength steel, offering a rugged foundation for its robust lifting functions. The carrier is driven by a powerful Mercedes-Benz OM502LA 8-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine delivering 469 horsepower, coupled with a Daimler Chrysler G 240-16 transmission with EAS (Electronic Automatic Shifting), offering 16 forward and 2 reverse speeds. This setup, along with a 10x6x10 drive/steer configuration and MEGATRAK® hydropneumatic suspension, ensures exceptional mobility and maneuverability, including crab steering.

The crane’s superstructure features a five-section 12.8 m to 51.0 m TWIN-LOCK™ boom, with a maximum tip height of 54.0 m. The optional bi-fold swingaway jib extends lifting versatility further with configurations up to 34 m. The boom elevation is handled by a single hydraulic cylinder capable of -3° to +83°, and the main hoist uses an axial piston motor with planetary gear, enabling variable speed lifting operations.

The Grove GMK5100 is fitted with Grove’s Load Moment Indicator (LMI) and anti-two-block system, integrating electronic displays for operational safety parameters including load, radius, and boom configuration. Control is provided via full-electronic systems using electric levers with automatic reset, all integrated with engine and crane logic via CAN-BUS technology.

The superstructure is powered by a separate Mercedes-Benz OM904LA engine, delivering 130 kW (177 HP), ensuring efficient crane operations even during simultaneous movements. With optional 31-ton counterweight configuration and various hook blocks, the GMK5100 supports a wide range of lifting needs. It combines comfort, advanced control features, and robust engineering, making it suitable for both urban and off-road applications.
