Product Description
The Grove GMK5210 is a 210 US ton capacity all terrain crane designed to handle a wide array of lifting challenges across construction, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. It is equipped with a six-section full-power boom that telescopes from 44 ft to a maximum of 197 ft (13.5 m to 60 m), using Grove’s patented “twin-lock” pinning system. The crane also features a hydraulically luffing swingaway lattice extension ranging from 43 ft to 72 ft, and with additional inserts can reach up to 125 ft, providing a maximum tip height of over 325 ft (99 m).
The superstructure is powered by a Cummins 6BTA 5.9-C diesel engine rated at 165 hp (123 kW) and equipped with advanced load moment indicators, anti-two-block systems, and fully electronic CAN-BUS control integration. It includes dual hoists with 984 ft (main) and 755 ft (auxiliary) line lengths and impressive line pulls of 21,000 lbs (93.4 kN), ideal for simultaneous lifting operations.
On the carrier side, the GMK5210 is powered by a Cummins Signature 600 diesel engine generating 600 hp (448 kW) and 2,050 ft-lb of torque, matched with an Allison automatic CLT 755 transmission offering five forward and one reverse gear. The drivetrain supports a 10x8x10 axle configuration, with Grove’s exclusive MEGATRAK independent hydropneumatic suspension system across all axles for superior handling and stability.
The dual-cab layout includes a comfortable, tiltable aluminum operator’s cab with heating and ergonomic controls, and a separate two-man driver’s cab with full instrumentation. The crane’s outrigger system spans 27 ft 3 in fully extended, allowing high stability with electronic level indicators at each outrigger.
Key features also include a 259-gallon hydraulic oil tank with thermostatic cooling, a 106-gallon fuel tank for extended site operation, and options like a Mercedes engine variant, third seat, and air conditioning. With a maximum travel speed of 51 mph and a gradeability of 55%, the GMK5210 combines power, reach, and mobility in a five-axle platform engineered for challenging environments.
