Product Description
The Kato KA-1100RX is a premium all-terrain hydraulic crane designed for powerful lifting performance and operational efficiency in demanding construction environments. With a maximum lifting capacity of 110 metric tons at 2.0 meters working radius, this crane is equipped with a high-rigidity, round-shaped telescopic boom constructed in six sections. The boom extends from 11.1 meters to 51.3 meters, and when paired with the optional Super Luffing Jib (SL Jib), the crane’s lifting height can reach a maximum of 72.3 meters.
The jib itself is a three-section full-power type, allowing step-less extension from 8.8 meters to 20.4 meters. It offers strong performance even at a 57-meter working radius with a rated capacity of 2.1 tons. At closer ranges of 33.2m to 48.5m (for boom+jib configurations), the crane can lift up to 5.6 tons. This versatility makes it suitable for both urban and high-reach industrial applications. The boom derricking angle ranges from -1° to 84°, with boom extension speeds up to 40.2 meters per minute and a slewing speed of 1.8 rpm.
Mounted on a robust 4-axle carrier chassis, the KA-1100RX uses a Daimler OM470LA engine with turbocharging and intercooling. This EUROMOT Stage IV compliant diesel engine delivers 320 kW at 1700 rpm and 2100 Nm of torque at 1300 rpm, ensuring both environmental friendliness and fuel economy. A full automatic transmission with six forward and one reverse gear supports easy maneuvering, while all axles are driven and steered to ensure excellent off-road capabilities. The maximum traveling speed is 75 km/h, and the crane maintains a tight turning radius of just 8.9 meters.
The crane features a hydraulic system powered by four gear and plunger-type pumps, driving both the main and auxiliary winches via axial plunger motors. Both winches offer hoisting and lowering speeds of up to 156 m/min (in high speed mode, 4th layer), and are equipped with automatic brakes and over-hoisting prevention devices. The outrigger system includes H-type hydraulic beams with five extension widths, ranging from a fully retracted 2,520 mm to a maximum of 7,200 mm. Hydraulic removal of counterweights up to 29.8 tons enables flexible configuration and improved transportability.
Advanced safety is delivered via Kato’s ACS (Automatic Crane System), which provides load monitoring, outrigger status detection, range limiting, and slew lock features, all displayed on a touch-screen in the operator’s cab. The crane also supports Kato’s COR (Crane Operation Recorder), which helps log performance and operation data for traceability.
Cab comfort is also prioritized with a tiltable cabin (up to 15°), air conditioning, and a suspension seat. An intuitive operator interface includes touch screen monitors, electric joysticks, and jog dials for fine control. Additional standard features include LED lighting, multiple hook options (5.6t, 37t, 55t, and optional 110t), and a centralized lubrication system for easy maintenance.
The KA-1100RX sets itself apart with a non-demountable design allowing it to travel with a boom under 12 tons per axle — improving its compliance with transport regulations and reducing setup time on site.
