Product Description

The Liebherr LTC 1045-3.1 made its debut at Bauma 2010 in Munich, introduced as a compact city crane solution for confined job sites and urban lifting operations. Designed with a maximum lifting capacity of 45 tonnes, this three-axle crane offers excellent versatility and compact performance. It features a five-section, 36-metre telescopic boom made from high-strength fine-grain steel, which extends hydraulically using Liebherr’s rapid-cycle TELEMATIK system. A swing-away jib from 7.5 m to 13 m is available, mountable at 0°, 20°, 40°, and 60° angles for additional reach.

One of the standout features is the innovative operator cab, which is mounted on a telescopic arm and can be elevated up to 7.8 metres. This design significantly improves operator visibility, particularly when the crane is in transit, and enhances situational awareness on congested sites. The cab itself is spacious and fully equipped with ergonomic seating, air-conditioning, safety glazing, and modern control systems.

The carrier is powered by a 6-cylinder, 240 kW (326 hp) Mercedes-Benz diesel engine and uses a ZF powershift transmission with 12 forward speeds. It drives an 8×4 drivetrain, with all axles steerable and the 1st and 3rd axles driven. Optional 6×6 drive is also available for off-road performance. All axles are hydro-pneumatically suspended and lockable hydraulically, offering excellent stability on variable terrain. The braking system consists of all-wheel disc brakes with additional exhaust and hand brakes for safety.

Hydraulically operated 4-point outriggers offer horizontal and vertical extension with automatic self-leveling and remote control. The safety system includes LICCON2 safe load indicators, hoist limit switches, and integrated test systems.

Additional options include a 1.5 m erection jib, two-hook operation gear, reversing camera, and counterweight configuration of 6.5 tonnes. With its compact size, high maneuverability, elevated cab system, and precision hydrostatic transmission, the LTC 1045-3.1 is engineered for optimal performance in space-constrained lifting environments.
