Product Description

The Liebherr LTC 1055-3.1 is a highly compact and maneuverable 3-axle all-terrain crane, purpose-built for operation in tight or indoor job sites. With a maximum lifting capacity of 55 tonnes, it features a 7-section telescopic boom ranging from 7.9 m to 36 m, and a biparted swing-away jib of 4.5 m – 7.8 m. With optional intermediate jib sections (2.4 m each), the jib can be extended up to 15 m, enabling a maximum hook height of 50 meters and a working radius up to 46 m.

This crane excels in confined environments thanks to its overall length of 8.38 m, narrow 2.54 m width, and a minimum clearance height of 3.2 m. Its hydrostatic all-wheel drive and active rear-axle steering deliver a turning radius as tight as 6.15 m, while a permanent all-wheel drive ensures smooth traction on- and off-road, with a travel speed range of 0–75 km/h without shifting interruption.

Powering the crane is a 6-cylinder Liebherr diesel engine (type D846 A7) producing 350 kW (476 hp), compliant with EU Stage 3 and Tier 3 emissions. The hydraulic system uses three axial-piston pumps, one for each axle, with a closed oil circuit managed by electronic controls for responsive displacement and crane operation.

The LICCON crane control system provides full PLC control over hoisting, slewing, telescoping, and luffing. It includes interactive touchscreen displays for configuring operating modes, monitoring lifting capacity, and managing support systems like outriggers and suspension. Features like automatic telescoping, load capacity interpolation, and load tracking work lights enhance productivity and safety.

The LTC 1055-3.1 offers several steering modes including on-road, all-wheel, crab, no-sway, and independent rear-axle steering, controlled via preprogrammed settings. The crane can also perform load displacements with up to 24.5-ton capacity, even over 360°, thanks to sensitive hydrostatic control.

For support, the crane is equipped with hydraulic outriggers with a variable base of 6.26 m x 6.26 m or 4.5 m x 6.26 m, including automatic leveling and integrated lighting for setup.

Counterweight configurations include a standard 4.4-ton setup (for 12 t axle load) and an optional 10.4-ton configuration (for full lifting capacity), both with Liebherr’s efficient self-ballasting system.

In the operator cab, comfort and visibility are top priority. Features include automatic air conditioning, heated seating, ergonomic controls, 360° visibility, and optional equipment like a reversing camera, GPS, anemometer, and xenon lighting.

Overall, the Liebherr LTC 1055-3.1 combines the lifting power of a mid-size crane with unmatched agility and intelligence, making it an ideal solution for tight-site applications such as urban construction, plant maintenance, and indoor lifting.
