Product Description
The Liebherr LTM 1060/2 is a robust and versatile 60-ton all-terrain mobile crane, well-suited for general construction, industrial, and infrastructure lifting tasks. The crane features a 5-section telescopic boom made from high-tensile steel, extendable from 10.9 m to 42 m, and built using Liebherr’s Telematik rapid-cycle telescoping system, which allows independent extension of each section for efficient setup.
For extended reach, the LTM 1060/2 offers optional single or double folding jibs, measuring 9.5 m to 17 m, and mountable at 0°, 20°, or 40°. With the longest jib configuration, the crane reaches a maximum lifting height of approximately 59.2 m, and a maximum working radius of up to 48 meters.
The crane’s carrier is a Liebherr-manufactured 4-axle all-terrain chassis with a torsion-resistant frame, equipped with hydropneumatic suspension and all-wheel steering (including selectable modes such as crab, front, or rear steering). It runs on 8 tyres, size 14.00 R 25, and is powered by a Liebherr D926 TI-E A4 6-cylinder diesel engine, producing 270 kW (367 hp) at 2100 rpm and 1650 Nm torque at 1400 rpm. The ZF automatic transmission (6WG260) includes a torque converter and off-road gear ratios, offering 6 forward and 2 reverse gears, and driving configurations of 8×6 or optional 8×8.
The crane superstructure is driven by a diesel-hydraulic system with an axial piston variable displacement pump, a double gear pump, and open load-sensing circuits, enabling simultaneous operation of up to four crane movements. The hoist winch is powered by an axial piston motor with planetary gearbox, delivering a single line pull of 57 kN and line speed up to 125 m/min.
For slewing, the crane uses an axial piston motor with planetary gear reducer and spring-loaded brake, offering 360° continuous rotation with stepless control. The boom luffing system includes a differential cylinder with brake valve, allowing smooth movement from rest to 83° in approximately 55 seconds.
Safety features are comprehensive, with the LICCON safe load indicator system, overload prevention, hoist limiters, pipe/line rupture valves, and testing tools for maintenance. The crane cab is tiltable for upward visibility and includes ergonomic controls, climate control, and safety glazing.
The crane carries a 12-ton counterweight and includes provisions for second hoist gear for dual-line operation or jib use. Its total vehicle weight is approximately 48 tons, and it complies with international transport and operational standards, making it a reliable option across global job sites.
In summary, the Liebherr LTM 1060/2 offers a strong balance of reach, lifting capacity, and maneuverability. It is a proven, efficient machine ideal for mid-sized lifting applications requiring both highway mobility and job site agility.
