Key Features & Benefits
The SAC1300C7 was launched as a next-generation 130-ton all terrain crane, representing SANY’s focus on higher efficiency, operator comfort, and optimized transportability. According to the manufacturer’s specification (V1.0, February 2023) , the crane delivers a maximum lifting capacity of 130 tonnes and a maximum lifting moment of 4,685 kN·m on the basic boom. At full extension, the 7-section U-shaped main boom reaches 74.8 m, providing a maximum lifting height of 75.5 m. With the standard 18 m jib installed, the maximum boom and jib combination reaches 87.9 m, and with the optional 8 m extension, the overall combination extends to 96 m, achieving a maximum lifting height of approximately 95.5 m. The jib offset angles are mechanically adjustable at 0°, 15°, and 30°, allowing flexibility for various site conditions.
The crane is mounted on a 5-axle (10×6×10) all-terrain carrier with all-wheel steering capability. Axles 2, 4, and 5 are driven, and the steering system provides six steering modes including on-road, all-wheel, crab, reduced swing-out, independent rear axle, and rear axle lock modes. The minimum steering radius is approximately 8.8 m, enabling improved maneuverability in confined urban or industrial job sites. Hydro-pneumatic suspension with hydraulic lockout allows height adjustment of +190 mm and –100 mm, improving both ride comfort and site adaptability. The maximum travel speed is 80 km/h, with a maximum gradeability of 46%. Overall dimensions are approximately 16,159 mm in length, 2,800 mm in width, and 4,000 mm in height, with a gross vehicle weight of 56,000 kg.
Power is delivered through a double-engine configuration. The chassis is equipped with a DF Cummins QSZ13-C525-30 inline six-cylinder, water-cooled, turbocharged and intercooled diesel engine compliant with EU Stage IIIA emission standards. It produces 391 kW at 1,900 rpm and a maximum torque of 2,300 N·m between 1,200–1,700 rpm. The transmission is a FAST 12-speed automatic with hydraulic retarder, supporting safer downhill travel. The superstructure is powered by a DF Cummins QSB6.7-C260 engine (EU Stage IIIA), delivering 194 kW at 2,200 rpm and 990 N·m at 1,500 rpm. This dual-engine arrangement is designed to optimize fuel efficiency and reduce operating consumption compared to traditional single-engine hydraulic systems.
The hoisting system includes both main and auxiliary winches with a maximum single rope speed of 130 m/min (no load). The wire rope diameter is 22 mm, with lengths of 280 m for the main winch and 210 m for the auxiliary winch. Maximum single line pull is 10.5 tonnes. Slewing is fully hydraulic with electro-proportional control, offering 360° continuous rotation at speeds up to 1.5 rpm. Full boom luffing time is approximately 55 seconds for raising and 115 seconds for lowering, while full telescoping or retraction takes about 660 seconds. The outrigger system adopts an H-type configuration with a span of 8.4 m longitudinally and 7.9 m transversely, featuring full hydraulic telescoping and auto-leveling capability.
Counterweight configuration is modular, with a maximum total counterweight of 42 tonnes. The crane can travel with up to 20.5 tonnes of counterweight installed, maintaining compliant axle loads (≤12 t per axle). Counterweight assembly and disassembly can be controlled via remote device, improving jobsite efficiency and reducing manual handling.
Operator and driver comfort have been enhanced in the C7 generation. The driver’s cab features air suspension seating, a multi-function steering wheel, integrated LCD instrumentation, and a 10.1-inch console display with integrated multimedia and reverse camera. The operator’s cab includes dual 10.1-inch frameless displays with a new user interface, electro-proportional joysticks, a tilting range of 0–20°, and a widened seating area for improved ergonomics during long lifting cycles. Both cabs are equipped with automatic heating and cooling air conditioning systems.
From a safety standpoint, the SAC1300C7 is equipped with SANY’s self-developed SYMC load moment indicator system, offering ±5% rated load accuracy through online calibration. The crane also incorporates hydraulic balance valves, relief valves, two-way hydraulic locks, height limit switches at boom and jib heads, three-wrap rope protection devices, and an anemometer mounted at the boom head to monitor wind speed during operation.
Overall, the SANY SAC1300C7 is positioned as a high-performance 130-ton class all-terrain crane with long boom reach, efficient dual-engine configuration, strong mobility, and advanced control systems. Its combination of a 74.8 m main boom, up to 96 m maximum boom-jib configuration, 5-axle carrier, and modular 42 t counterweight makes it suitable for infrastructure projects, industrial installations, wind farm auxiliary works, and heavy precast lifting applications.
