Tadano AR-250E

The Tadano AR-250E all-terrain crane combines rugged off-road capabilities with unmatched road speed to deliver efficiency across varied job sites. It is equipped with a powerful 230 PS diesel engine, making it the most robust machine in its class, enabling smooth operation even in the most demanding conditions. One of its standout features is its ability to reach travel speeds of up to 70 km/h, which is rare for a rough terrain crane and highly beneficial for projects requiring frequent relocation.

At the heart of its lifting performance is a four-section telescoping box-type boom constructed from hexagonal high-tensile steel, offering a total extension length of 26.3 meters. This boom structure ensures both high flexural strength and torsional rigidity. For extended reach, the AR-250E also features an optional swingaway jib with 5° or 30° offset, reaching up to 34 meters hook height. Tadano’s streamlined telescoping control allows boom extension through a single-lever operation, making transitions between sections quick and precise.

The AR-250E is built with operator productivity and safety in mind. The cabin is ergonomically designed with a wide panoramic view and strategically placed controls to minimize fatigue. The operator is supported by Tadano’s Automatic Moment Limiter (AML), which offers real-time display and monitoring of moment, load radius, actual and potential load, and hook height. Audible and visual overload alarms help prevent unsafe lifting conditions.

Stability and maneuverability are enhanced with three-mode steering—two-wheel, four-wheel, and crab—which allows for tight turns in confined spaces. A heavy-duty spring suspension system with stabilizers, large tires, and a high-clearance undercarriage contribute to its off-road performance.

The crane’s outriggers are wide-span hydraulically operated, enabling secure setup even on uneven terrain. Its dual-drum, two-motor winch system permits independent operation for both main and auxiliary lifting, featuring automatic free-fall and high-speed selection for efficient hoisting.
