Product Description

The XCA2600 doesn’t just impress with its lifting power; its maximum lifting height reaches an imposing 160 meters, pushing past other cranes in its class and catering adeptly to the needs of the burgeoning wind energy sector. Equipped with a substantial counterweight of 340 tonnes and a wind power jib extending up to 110 meters atop its 63.7-meter telescopic boom, the XCA2600 is engineered to meet the intricate requirements of turbine installation, which often involves navigating to heights of 160 meters—a feat noted by XCMG Crane’s chief engineer, Shan Zenghai, as a challenging balance of mobility and lifting capability.

Breaking new ground, the XCA2600 is the first crane to feature a ten axle carrier, with a breadth of 3.5 meters and a patented independent suspension design, adding to its array of innovations. It stands out with the ability to swap its upper structure with the crawler track lower works of the XCC2600, which is claimed by XCMG to be the world’s largest telescopic boom crawler crane.

This mobile crane is armed with three core technologies: a high-performance flexible boom, super-lifting capacity, and an advanced independent suspension. It not only manages a hefty lift but soars to heights unparalleled in its class, covering 90 percent of wind turbine installations across China. Its chassis, 50 cm shorter than the industry average, coupled with a minimum ground clearance 200mm higher than usual, ensures an enhanced operational flexibility.

In the critical areas of super-lifting and tensioning, the XCA2600 employs active control and hoisting risk prediction technologies, affirming XCMG’s commitment to safety and efficiency in operations. The stability of the crane is fortified by its 3.5-meter-wide chassis, independent suspension system, and live axle.

XCMG’s XCA2600 is more than a crane; it is a bold statement of innovation, tailored to meet the evolving demands of major wind turbine installation projects and diverse construction scenarios. The crane embodies XCMG’s decade-long journey in the development of large-tonnage all-terrain cranes, from an 800-ton capacity a decade ago to the 2,600-ton leviathan of today. With 126 units of super wheel cranes sold, each with a tonnage exceeding 1,200 tons and collectively responsible for the installation of over 15,000 wind turbines, XCMG has solidified its standing as a leader in the domain of heavy lifting and a true enabler of renewable energy infrastructure.

Interchangable Superstructure

In addition, the model is also the world’s first crane to be equipped with a 10-axle chassis, and it can be interchanged with the XCC2600, the world’s largest tonnage telescopic boom crawler crane. The XCA2600 body is 50-cm shorter than the industry average, while the minimum ground clearance is 200mm higher, allowing for better operational flexibility.

Capacity and Dimensions

The XCA2600 boasts a maximum lifting capacity of 2600 tons, making it one of the most powerful cranes in its class. The crane has a total length of 26,894 mm, a width of 3,500 mm, and a height of 6,548 mm when fully assembled for travel. It operates with a significant outrigger span of 15,000 mm both longitudinally and transversely, which provides exceptional stability.

Engine and Power

This crane is equipped with a Weichai WP17G770E304 engine, delivering a rated power of 566 kW at 1900 rpm and a maximum torque of 3000 Nm, ensuring efficient and reliable performance under heavy loads. The engine meets Off-road Stage III emission standards, emphasizing environmental consciousness alongside powerful capabilities.

Performance Features

The XCA2600 features a 68.6-meter 5-section boom and can achieve a maximum lifting height of 173 meters with the combination of its jib and super lifting device. The crane is also equipped with a sophisticated hydraulic system, enabling it to perform complex lifting operations with precision.

Structural and Safety Features

Safety and structural integrity are paramount with the XCA2600. It includes a high-strength steel frame, an advanced electrical-control transmission with 12 forward and 2 reverse gears, and independent suspension axles for enhanced mobility on rough terrains. The safety systems include a Load Moment Indicator (LMI), hydraulic counterbalance valves, relief valves, and an anemometer to measure wind speed ensuring safe operations in varied environmental conditions.

Additional Features

The operator’s cabin is designed for comfort and efficiency, featuring adjustable seats, safety glass, electrically operated window lifters, and a large screen liquid crystal display. It also includes a heater, air conditioner, and an audio system as standard equipment, providing a comfortable working environment for operators during long operations.

Overall, the XCMG XCA2600 all-terrain crane represents a pinnacle in crane technology and capability, designed for high-capacity lifts in complex and challenging job sites around the world.
