Rated for a 1,250-ton capacity, this crane is built on the success of its predecessor, the CC 5800, and features significant enhancements in boom design and structural strength. Crawler Carrier and Drive System The crane utilizes a 3-section carrier structure, consisting of a carbody and two crawlers that are detachable for transportation ease. The carbody is constructed from high-strength fine-grain steel, providing durability and resistance to torsion. Each crawler is driven by two hydraulic motors through a planetary gear reduction system, ensuring efficient movement and precise positioning even under heavy loads. Equipped with a Quadro-Drive system, the CC 6800-1 offers enhanced traction and control on various terrains.

Superstructure and Counterweight The superstructure includes a torsion-resistant welded frame, powered by an MTU diesel engine rated at 429 HP, with an option for a more powerful 543 HP engine for markets with fewer emission regulations. The crane can be outfitted with up to 180 tons of counterweight, with an additional 60-ton central ballast, enhancing stability and enabling safe, reliable lifts.

Boom Configurations The CC 6800-1 offers a range of boom and jib configurations. The main boom can extend from 24 to 96 meters, while various configurations such as the SH/LH (SGL Variable) and SSL/LSL (SGL 94.5 m) provide even greater flexibility. The crane also supports the Superlift attachment, which offers a variable radius from 15 to 24 meters, maximizing load capabilities across working ranges. This modular boom system can be expanded to reach a maximum height of 260 meters with the right combination of attachments.

Control and Safety Features The CC 6800-1 is equipped with the Demag IC-1 control system, which includes a touchscreen interface for monitoring crane operations in real-time. Safety features include electronic load indicators, limit switches for boom movements, hydraulic quick-connect systems, and anemometers to monitor wind speeds. The hydraulic-assisted boom pinning system ensures quick and efficient assembly, reducing rigging times.

Optional Equipment Optional accessories include the Superlift counterweight carrier with a radius that can be adjusted between 11 and 15 meters, additional counterweight trays, and a hydraulic quick-connect system for convenient setup. The crane can also be equipped with a Power-kit for the main boom, enabling it to handle additional heavy-duty operations with increased structural support.
